I must say that I am extremely happy that it is Friday and that I don't work the weekend, really needing to do some much needed catch up around here and have some down time..
Yesterday, before I headed to work I received my order that I have been waiting for from Simon Says Stamp and in that little bundle of happiness, I brought some Dylusions to have a play around with...these are so bright and beautiful and the depth of colour to them is amazing..
So not really having an idea as to what I was going to do, I decided I would start out in spritzing the colours onto the water colour paper, dry off and sat and pondered for a moment..I then pulled out my Hero Arts, Everything Flowers stamp and inked it up with some Archival Jet Black Ink..trimmed down a panel and realising that the colour in the background was super intense..so without worrying about staying in the lines and letting myself have a free hand, I added white pencil to tone things down and then matched up the Dylusions colours that I had used, with Inketense pencils and added more depth in a much more subtle way..
I added the panel to some black card stock, then onto a kraft panel that I had stamped with white ink, added this to the card front and stamped a sentiment...
Looking at this card again today, it certainly is not something I would normally create, but it was fun anyways..
Well, I must venture out of bed and get myself some breakfast organised..
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday, I am hoping that my day runs a little smoother then it did yesterday..
Hugs

It's certainly brighter than you usual cards Joy, but it is simply delightful. The dyes are really bright and awesome and the white pencil and the watercolours tone it down beautifully.
