August Card Kit!

Hello there friends! rushing to get this post out to you all today and head to work for yet another long day...

I was itching to craft again seeing as nothing would come together on Sunday afternoon, so went into the craft room about an hour ago and whipped up a pretty quick card using some items from the Simon Says August kit..talk about swoon with all the multiple colours in this months collection..

I couldn't help but use a fun flower die from Papertrey ink, I just adore these bloom dies and want to use them on most of my creations, but by adding lots of lushes of pattern paper, sentiment banner and beautiful resin flower that came from the collection I created a sweet thank you card...

Here is a look at the August Kit, I know that you all have probably seen it but just in case you have not...

I so look forward to Septembers kit to arrive, I love these collections, if you are wanting to know more about them you can go HERE...

Well that is it for me today, had better go iron a shirt and get dressed ready to go..

Have a fantastic day!

Smiling Today!

Hello peeps! Well that is exactly what I have been doing today..smiling...I woke this morning to check my emails and received an email that has had me beaming all day long, at present I cannot share this news with you, but please know that as my wonderful readers, you will be the first to know when I can finally share this with you all..

On other news to make me smile, I finally got control of my dreaded house work, so nice to once again have a clean house and after tomorrow's finishing touches I will be able to spend the rest of the day in the craft room...so I am sure I will be smiling again tomorrow...

To hopefully make you all smile, I created this card a couple of weeks ago, using one of my all time favourite goodies from Papertrey Ink, Lovely Layers stamp and dies...I swoon everytime I get to play with this...

Using lots of soft colours to create a layered flower and stamping a background feature to match the soft colours on the flower, finishing off with a sentiment that is just so sweet...

So that was the crafty side of things, how about I change it up and share a recipe with you all...I tweeted today what I had for lunch and thought that I would share it all here with you also, that is if you are interested...

This is what I call my Satay Chicken Focaccia...

Starting out by finely slicing red onion, green capsicum and shredding a BBQ chicken, place in a bowl and add Satay Sauce over the top, half a Focaccia or what I normally use Turkish Bread and place the Satay Chicken on top, add sliced tasty cheese, grill or place in oven until the cheese has melted...

YUMMO!!!

Really quick and great for a snack or a fab lunch that you can add some salad on the side...

Well that has made me a little hungry, so I am off now to see what I can rustle up for dinner..once that is done I am settling in for the night and watching some Olympic Games..got to catch some of the opening ceremony which was amazing...

Have a fabulous night!

Miss You!

Hello friends and happy Friday to you all, so nice to be finished work and starting the weekend, lots to get done at the cottage this weekend, what with being away so much over the last month or two, my house is in serious need of attention..Hoping to be up early tomorrow to get it all done so that I can craft the afternoon away..

To start my weekend off I thought that I would share a card with all that was featured over on the Basic Grey blog a little over a week ago, just in case you never got the chance to view it...

I also share a video on how I put this card together which if you are like me and love to learn visually then you can view that HERE....

On other news, my good friend Els Brige who happens to be a fellow team mate at Basic Grey is having her first online class, the class is call Rock Your Kit, supplies are Basic Grey, Clippings collection, so you will get to use the latest and greatest line to work with, there will be awesome videos and whats even better is that it is self paced so you can choose to do the class when the time prevails..
To view more about the class, just click HERE....

Well that is about all for me tonight, I am off to finish watching and in fact I think I will start at the start again, seeing as I fell asleep before it ended last night, Bridget Jones's Diary and seeing as it is freezing here tonight, might be nice to go lie in a nice warm bed!

Have a fantastic night!
