So Cal!

Happy weekend to you all! I am now sitting here re typing my post that I just accidentally deleted..sigh, it really is not my week...anyways this afternoon I had a little time to play in the craft room and play with the So Cal kit from Studio Calico, I have had the last couple of months worth sitting there starring at me and with very little time to play I knew that this afternoon was the time to do so...

With a headache and a half I new that there was little or no mojo, but did manage to pull this little card together...

I cannot wait for this months kit to arrive, the last couple of months I have missed grabbing the add ons as it has been too late or early in my case to purchase, that being 2am, but I forced myself this time to stay awake and I was really happy with my purchases.

I will also add here that I am super pleased that I added some of this gorgeous woodgrain card stock that Studio Calico sells, some of this you can see on the above card...

Well short and sweet tonight, need to go have some down time and relax..

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

CASE Study Challenge #97!

Hello peeps! big sighs today, stayed up til 2am this morning to make sure I got to purchase one of the Studio Calico Add Ons...then only a couple of hours sleep and had to go pick Mum up from down the street, so yes it will be an early night tonight..

So today also brings my final day as guest designer for the CASE Study Challenge and I can honestly say I have had the best time, I just want to take the time to thank Iwona for asking me to be the Muse for the month of June and to all the girls of the DT for allowing me to be apart of the team also.

Now to the card, but first I have a little share, whilst I was in Sydney my friend who is an out of this world sewer showed me how to make Yo Yo's and yes I know a lot of you may think where has she been, but when you are not a sewer and rarely pick up a piece of material then well I guess you really never know how to create these types of things that really are super easy to make....I am hoping for the day that I learn to sew as I would so love to be able to incorporate this into my crafting, but then again I think Darryl may shudder at the thought..LOL meaning space wise!

So after coming home from Sydney I decided one night I would sit and sew a couple of Yo Yo's and here are a couple that I created...

Having made these I thought that it would be perfect to put onto this weeks card creation for the CASE Study...

Here is the card that we are all using as inspiration, I loved this card when I first created it and the use of Washi Tape was even better...

I decided to go with a similar layout and adding pieces of Washi tape to add to a themed card based around sewing and super fitting as I will be sending this to my friend to say thanks for having me...so by adding a hand sewn Yo Yo, pattern paper from the new line from Crate Paper, sewn edge and Washi Tape, I created what I think is a pretty card!

I am so looking forward to viewing your creations, thanks to you all for taking the time to enter the challenges and be inspired by my creations over the last month!

Have a wonderful day!

Olympics!

Hello everyone! Wednesday and what a blissful day it has been, so nice to be able to sleep in and catch up on some needed sleep and not have to worry about rushing to work...

I hope you have had a quiet and productive day as well...

So today is yes, Wednesday and that means a new fun challenge to start over at Simon Says...this week the DT are sharing projects based around celebrations that are headed our way, that being the Olympics and 4th of July..

I decided to create a card using the fabulous technique that Jennifer McGuire has shared and one that I want to use on just about every creation..burnishing glitter!

I created a card based around the Olympics and what better way to show case this then to use the Olympic rings right?  That is exactly what I chose, with some die cutting of the various colours, all I needed to do was to burnish the glitter..I added this onto a card that was embossed with Swiss Dots embossing folder and a sentiment to match the theme.

You will so want to check out the DT creations this week, there are some awesome crafting involved with these beauties...to check them out and the Challenge deets just click the blinkie below..

The wonderful Heidi as normal will be giving one lucky winner $50 voucher to spend in store..

Okay well that is about me for tonight! Well almost, did you notice anything different here at the little old blog...yes a change...have been looking for something new and I am really liking this clean look, I hope you do too???

Have a fabulous night or day!

Hugs!
