Hello peeps! big sighs today, stayed up til 2am this morning to make sure I got to purchase one of the Studio Calico Add Ons...then only a couple of hours sleep and had to go pick Mum up from down the street, so yes it will be an early night tonight..
So today also brings my final day as guest designer for the
CASE Study Challenge and I can honestly say I have had the best time, I just want to take the time to thank Iwona for asking me to be the Muse for the month of June and to all the girls of the DT for allowing me to be apart of the team also.
Now to the card, but first I have a little share, whilst I was in Sydney my friend who is an out of this world sewer showed me how to make Yo Yo's and yes I know a lot of you may think where has she been, but when you are not a sewer and rarely pick up a piece of material then well I guess you really never know how to create these types of things that really are super easy to make....I am hoping for the day that I learn to sew as I would so love to be able to incorporate this into my crafting, but then again I think Darryl may shudder at the thought..LOL meaning space wise!
So after coming home from Sydney I decided one night I would sit and sew a couple of Yo Yo's and here are a couple that I created...
Having made these I thought that it would be perfect to put onto this weeks card creation for the CASE Study...
Here is the card that we are all using as inspiration, I loved this card when I first created it and the use of Washi Tape was even better...
I decided to go with a similar layout and adding pieces of Washi tape to add to a themed card based around sewing and super fitting as I will be sending this to my friend to say thanks for having me...so by adding a hand sewn Yo Yo, pattern paper from the new line from Crate Paper, sewn edge and Washi Tape, I created what I think is a pretty card!
I am so looking forward to viewing your creations, thanks to you all for taking the time to enter the challenges and be inspired by my creations over the last month!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs
