Dry Embossing!

Hello friends...thank goodness it is Friday, so nice to be able to say that this week, my day starts again tomorrow with lots of cleaning in this house, so much dust from our fire that needs to be cleaned up..that work never seems to end..

I have a card to share with you tonight, one that I have been meaning to post here like for the last few weeks and only now getting around to posting...

A few weeks ago a few of us on Twitter were talking about using the Mr Huey's Masks to use as dry embossing and wondered whether it would go through the die cutting machine and emboss onto a piece of card stock, when I tried I was quite surprised that it did, just shows that you get more for your money out of using these masks...I have a chevron one now that I cannot wait to use in the same way...

So by adding a flower and leaves from pattern paper and a stamped sentiment, completes a clean and simple card..so if you are pushed for time in creating a quick card, then this would be the way to go..

I will add I used my Cuttlebug and found that it needed scratch card stock as extra in the sandwich so that there was a good impression from the mask...

So look at those masks that you may have lying around and give it a go, super fun!!

Well I am off to have some down time in front of the Television..

Have a wonderful night!

Hugs

I love this card, and what a fun technique to discover. I don't have any of the masks from Mr. Huey, but I do love dry embossing. Thanks for sharing.
