Wishing you Sunnier Days!

Hello friends! hope you are enjoying your weekend, not much happening here at the cottage today, just a nice quiet one, which is always nice.

I took out my April Card Kit from Simon Says and decided to create a card today to share here on the blog, a pretty quick one I might add, I was needing something to share with you all, and well I will say that I am sitting on the fence about how this card turned out..LOL.

If you haven't had a chance to check out what these kits each month are about, then you must, you can do so HERE...they are so fun and the price is fantastic, the goods within these kits are picked out by none other then Kristina Werner herself.

The May kit is now being shipped and I cannot wait to have that little package in my hot hands, this month has a lot of the new line from Basic Grey, Whats Up collection...fun fun!

Now for my card...

I took the large chevron pattern paper and trimmed it slightly smaller then the card front, corner rounding two corners of the pattern paper, using the other cheveron pattern paper I ran it through my Cuttlebug and cutting it with the Memory Box die, Woven Circle. With the other pieces of pattern paper, I trimmed a purple piece and corner rounded two corners, adhering this to the large chevron paper, I punched a cloud out of the blue paper and added white gel pen dots to the outer edges, punching a heart from pink paper and adding it to the cloud. I also punched the flower out of the orange pattern paper, this punch comes with this kit, I adhered all this to the woven circle die cut and then onto the purple pattern paper. I added white gel pen dots to the centre of the flowers on the purple pattern paper and using more of the purple pattern paper I stamped the sentiment that came with the set that Kristina Werner designed herself, using some Versamark Ink and embossing with white embossing powder, adhering this to the main part with foam dimensionals. I adhered all this to a front of a trimmed white card corner rounding the same corners as the rest of the pattern paper and finished the card by adding gemstones to complete the card.

This card seems to fitting one today with it being an overcast day here at the cottage....

Well time to either craft or house work...hmmmmm! I know which one I will mostly pick..LOL

Have a great rest of your weekend...

Hugs

Great use of the kit papers. I must admit that I have yet to use ANYTHING from the kit yet. It has some lovely papers and love the Prima flowers.
