Sketch Book 4 - Sketch 2!

Morning to you all, hope you enjoyed your weekend and managed to get all those jobs done that you had planned, I must admit we were a little naughty this weekend, so hence the week ahead is going to be quite busy.

The naughty part of my weekend well should I say the fun part, consisted of creating lots of cards. Some of those cards were kind of a catch up series of Sketch Book 4, Kelly Purkey's class. I have to say that this is really stretching my abilities as a designer and I am having fun with changing up my style...I find myself getting stale at times with the same style, although don't get me wrong I love it, it is just nice to challenge myself, especially through these sketches.

With this card, I opted to use one of my favourite colour combos, grey and yellow...adding a touch of white and blue to accent the card.

Trimming white card stock and taking the Geographic stamp set from Paper Smooches, I took the hexagon border stamp, inked it with London Fog and stamped onto the card stock, repeating this until I completely covered the entire card stock. Next, I trimmed down some pattern paper from the Lily Bee, Buttercup paper pad, adding the yellow one to the bottom of the card stock and the other a small strip to the top of the pattern paper to give where the card stock and pattern paper meet a covering. Taking more pattern paper from this paper pad, I took the Darla butterfly die from Memory Box and ran both through the Cuttlebug, adhering the body to the butterfly with Glossy Accents and setting aside to dry. Staying with the Cuttlebug, I took white card stock and the Woven Circle die also from Memory Box, adding both this and the butterfly to the stamped card stock. I added all of this to a trimmed Kraft card and finished the card by adding a sentiment and rhinestones.

Feeling good to be catching up on sketches and I look forward to bringing you more card designs over the next few days...

Heading off now, Have a fabulous day!

Hugs
