Now onto the crafty business, lately, I have moved towards the colours of yellow and grey together, seems to be something that is catching my eye, I think maybe I am behind the times with colour trends, but I am in love with these two colours together, so I created a card with those colours in mind.
Taking out the Chevron Backdrops from Lawn Fawn, inking up the finer lined Chevron Stripe background stamp with Wet Cement, stamping the entire piece of trimmed white card stock. Next, I took the Say Cheese stamp set from Lawn Fawn, stamping the large polaroid onto some Echo Park pattern paper, that happen to be in my Studio Calico March kit and LOL is now in my cart at Simon Says. Trimmed out the polaroid and set aside, using more of the pattern paper and trimming a small strip which I adhered to the bottom of the stamped white card stock. Above the yellow strip of pattern paper, I trimmed a piece of grey card stock and adhered to the white card stock also. I took the say cheese sentiment from the same stamp set, inking it with Versamark Ink, stamping onto the grey card stock and heat embossing white embossing powder. I added twine to the top of the grey card stock and then adhered the polaroid with foam dimensionals. Finishing the card by adding gems and adhering to a white card.
So nice to be able to use a stamp that is in a set you buy for the other stamps in that set and then you finally have a light bulb moment..I had purchased the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese set purely for the Polaroid Frame and never thought that I would ever use the large Polaroid, I am ever so pleased that I had that moment. Do you all ever purchase stamps for the one or two that you like in the set?

Unfortunately, I always but a stamp set for one particular image. Happily, I usually find uses for the others. Love this card. Grey and anything makes me drool. May you and your family have a Happy Easter.

Love the card and colors. The camera makes me think of my gram-pa. He was always attached to a Polaroid camera taking pictures of me, my brothers, sisters and cousins (some of these photos that I have are my all time favorites).

Great card, and you bet I purchase sets for one stamp. It's a terrible habit. But what is funny is that I often end up using everything but the one I bought it for.

I'm loving grey & yellow too! Love the chevrons and camera. I always buy a stamp set for one or two images-kind of like when I actually bought music CD's-just for my fav song :)
