Neopolitan Layout!

Hi everyone! Hope you enjoyed your day, I know that I have, woke this morning feeling as though the mac truck had hit me overnight but then the day just got better and better, I received finally my goodies from Simon Says and April Studio Calico Kit so I am so looking forward to pulling those goodies out and having a play...I will share a video of all these goodies here on the blog tomorrow.

I have something a little different for you, if you saw my post yesterday I shared a sneak peek and well today I have the full share for you all...

Today is the start of a new challenge for Simon Says and this week we have a sketch created by Dawny..super talented gal she is...

I decided to change it up and move out of the comfort zone of creating cards and yes you guessed it, I created a layout, this layout I had a huge amount of fun with and came together quite quickly. Moving out of the comfort zone also by creating a layout about ME, which I find a very hard thing to do, but I pushed through the barrier and created away.

I used lots of the Neopolitan line from American Crafts, I know that a lot of these products are currently out of stock, but keep checking as I am sure it won't be long and they will be there for purchase once again.

Using my favourite white with lots of pattern paper, by creating a collage of Hexagon pattern paper to one side of the layout, adding tags I created from scraps of white card stock, adding stamping, punched butterflies, twine and brads to these tags. I also used up scraps of pattern paper from this collection to create a banner to the other side of the layout, stitching it onto the main card stock and adding butterflies with pearls and brads.

I just adore the soft palette and as I said I have a huge amount of fun creating this layout..

To check out the DT creations and details of the challenge be sure to click on the blinkie below...

As usual, the beautiful Heidi will give away $50 to one lucky winner, I cannot wait to see your creations this week..have fun creating...

Hugs

So not only do you make the most awesome cards, you can make the most awesome layouts ... love this. Scrapping about myself is one of the hardest things I find to do ... so hats off to you for stepping out and doing this.
