I am Back!

Hello everyone! I am back from my little break, just needed to get my head around a couple of things, plus if you have been following me along on Twitter you would have read that we are currently on flood alert...during last weekend, we had intense rain non stop which caused flooding within the town, but we are now expecting our river to burst its banks and the talk is that this will be the worst flooding in 40 years. So hence we are all bracing ourselves!

I just wish to thank everyone that have either sent me emails, comments here on my blog and even kind and caring tweets my way over the last few days, this has meant the world to me, that so many people really do care and are thinking of me. You have all really kept me going and these lovely comments have help me to rise above something that was a truly horrid experience that I hope will never happen again...I am not going to go into details about what has happened, but I am back and now that I am about to embark on a 6 day break from work I am hoping to have lots to share with you all.

As I don't really have a card as such that I have created as I have been way too busy at work and with the flood situation, so I thought I would share a card that I created for Simon Says about a week ago on their blog, this was a really clean and simple card, if you struggle with that style maybe this will help you find that inspiration, if you did not get to see it, I thought that I would share that card here with you, at the bottom of the post you can check out what I used to create this card...to see how I created it just jump on over HERE.

Now how about a share with you all...On Sunday morning I woke to the view below, my eyes could not believe how much water was in our very own street, so hence I walked down the street just a little to snap these photos...thankfully we were on the higher part of the street so we were safe, but our neighbours below were not so lucky...

These next few photos that I share with you are snaps I took around various parts of the town, nearly every inch of the town was effected in some way due to all that rain falling, and now we brace ourselves once again for what will be coming down the river in the next few days...

Thanks once again everyone for all your support and hanging in there with me whilst I collected my thoughts...

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs

Hi Joy, I am so glad that you haven't floated away! We almost need an ark on this side of Australia. I hope that things come "good" for you very soon. Enjoy your time off as much as you can. Your card is so pretty. Sending loads of (slightly soggy) hugs xoxoxoxo

Joy, that is so scary looking. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I remember last week or so you thought you were high enough, but that water is high.
You have inspired me so much with all your talents. And I really do not know how you do it all.
HUGZ to all of you, katie

Oh, Joy! Too much flooding everywhere at the moment. There's lots in Queensland, too. Crazy! I'm glad you're high and dry. I'm sad your neighbours haven't been so lucky. Take care, and I hope the rain stops for all of us for a little while. Hugs!

So glad you're safe Joy. I have been looking at the photos of the floods on Facebook, it all looks so bad. I can remember when it flooded badly last time. I shudder to think of the things we got up to in the water back then, no way would I let my kids do what I did!

Big hugs xox
