Here is the card that I created this week...and if you are like me from time to time we all struggle making that perfect male card, so I thought I would share one here that is pretty straight forward to create.

Using the Echo Park, For the Record paper pack, I took some pattern paper from that collection, for the main section I trimmed it to be slightly smaller then a card front, corner rounded the top and bottom right hand corners. Next, taking more pattern paper from that collection, I trimmed one smaller strip and the other I punched a postage strip using the Fiskars, Postage Border punch, adding both of these strips to the main pattern paper. To finish this section of the card, I added a border sticker from the same collection, along with some twine. I then took one of the element stickers, which was the balloon and added it to the pattern paper using foam dimensionals. Completing the card, by adding a sentiment stamped on a banner, some rhinestones and then added this to a trimmed Smokey Shadow card, that had the corresponding corners rounded.

So by using elements from the paper pack and stamping a sentiment you can create a fairly quick card and a simple one, well let's face it, not many guys like too much on their cards.

I cannot wait to see all your creations this week...make sure to enter to win...

Okay I am off to rest, have been in quite a bit of pain, so things around here are rather limiting...

Hugs to you all!

Love this vintage look, Joy! Great graphic style, too. Love the white! Please take care of that pain - don't push the blog postings (we sure understand).

Joy,
This is great! I love the numbers that are peeking out the side and the balloon does give it that masculine touch. I also noticed that the little brad embellishments have a neat pattern in them. Cute!
