Simplicity!

Hi Everyone! hope you had a wonderful day, mine has been eventful, having a phone call around Midday from the Doctors surgery saying that Mum needed me, Darryl and I rushed down...thankfully she was alright it was the girls on the front counter had not put Mum into the system so the Doctor kept over looking her, hence she had sat there too long and her Parkinson's really had started to set in bad..I was so mad at them...anyways, I rushed around grabbed the shopping she needed and Darryl and I drove her home..she is now home resting and is much better.

So after that day, not much work so far has been done in the craft room, I thought that I would share a card with you all that I made the other day when the mojo was gone...I decided to stamp and just colour and before I knew it, a card was created.

I took the Leaf Frond 2 from A Muse and stamped onto Kraft card stock with soft sand ink, taking the Prismacolor pencils and coloured the image in. Stamping a sentiment off to the side, corner rounding the corners and finally adding a dusting of Frost White ink to the edges to soften. Completing the card by trimming white card stock to form the card, running the front of the card through the Cuttlebug, embossing it with Papertrey Ink, Cane Print Impression Plate, adhering the Kraft card stock to the front with foam dimensionals.

Now before I go, in the photo did you spot something new???? Darryl made me a board for me to place my cards on to photograph...trying this out, seeing if my cards stay a bit more straight not to mention because the photo tent is so big it has to sit on the floor, I lean on the front of it from time to time and it is now starting to get the lean to look...so I am hoping this helps and not to mention looks good....gotta love my man that whipped that up in 30 mins...

Okay, well I am off to get washing in off the line and hang another lot out, clean up the craft room and play once again.

Hugs

What a great idea to use a board. Luckily my tent is quite small... This is a very delicate looking card. The pencil on the kraft is so great. Glad you Mum is okay. Isn't it frustrating when things like that happen.

And love your card, and the background. Have been thinking of doing something similar myself! (The background that is!)

Oh what a lovely card, Joy! Love your use of the colored pencils-really have to try to get good at coloring one day myself...and how wonderful of Darryl to whip up that board. Photographing for my blog is my worst enemy right now. You seem to have mastered it quite well, my dear:)

Your colouring is splendid!! Fab card as always!! I like the board you partner made. I've been taking my photos lately on the wooden floor under our large bay window, and I'm liking it (for now).
