Molted Frog!

Hello everyone! as I type this post it is currently New Years Eve here in Australia...Darryl and I will be having a very quiet night tonight and possibly will not even see the new year in...I think the bed will be much more enjoyable..LOL...yes, boring couple are we not...LOL.

I am currently on a 3 day break and going to enjoy the most of it...about to head into the craft room after lunch and see whether the mojo has returned.

After finishing a long 9hr shift yesterday at work I really was not up to typing up a post, so hence I am here today to share my Molted Frog for Jane's Doodles...I really think I must have been drunk when I coloured this frog in..shocking attempt and I apologise, not quite sure what I was trying to achieve, so if you can look past that, I think the rest of the card is not too bad.

Using lots of green, I took one of the green papers from the Foliage layering paper, trimmed to size and stamped with soft green shadow ink the Speckled Background stamp, over the entire trimmed piece, sewing around the outer edge twice. Trimming two smaller strips of the foliage paper, adhering together and then adhering to the main card stock. Trimming down some white card stock to form a tag, I stamped the Houndstooth stamp that was inked with Grass ink, adding Peapod twine to the top of the tag. Stamping the frog onto more white card stock and colouring him in (that was when I think I must have been drunk..LOL) trimming around him and adding him to the tag along with a stamped sentiment, adhering all this to the green card stock. Completing the card by adding the main section to a trimmed white card.

Be sure to check out the Jane's Doodles Shop, there has been some more stamps added to the store..super cute I might add....

Before I leave you all, I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy New Year, thank you to everyone that has passed on by and left amazing and sweet comments this past year...it has been an amazing year and I look forward to an even better 2012.

Hugs to you all!

Bees Knees!

Hi everyone! Hope you all have had a wonderful day...I return tomorrow again to work and I am hoping that it will pass by quickly so that I can enjoy the weekend.

Any plans for New Years? I am quite sure that Darryl and I will sleep right through it...LOL..maybe I will enjoy a couple of drinks prior to heading to bed...

Still lacking mojo, tonight I decided to create a card that literally took me only minutes to make, by using pattern paper to take up most of the space on the card, adding a little stamping, some sewing and rhinestones, here is the card that I created....Using some gorgeous Paper Smooches stamps that have sat in my room for sometime now...

My tip for when you have lost your mojo, don't push it, it does return as we all know and even the best of us loose it from time to time....by adding very little elements to your cards, you can create something that still looks great...maybe even just get those stamps that have not seen ink and start inking them onto card stock, before you know it, you are in the midst of creating that card.

Alrighty, I am off to watch some Telly and listen to Roly snore beside me....

Have a wonderful night!

Hugs

Paris Love!

Hello blogging friends! I hope that you have enjoyed your Christmas festivities and break from work...it was a long time getting here, but both Darryl and I have enjoyed Christmas and having some time together which has been lovely. I am now currently on a two day break from work and with one day of work left I  then have the weekend off, I feel that this will be a lovely little holiday.

So as the little Elves in my craft room left an awful mess and left on their merry way for Christmas celebrations, I had to venture into the tornado and clean up...LOL once done it was time to create a card for Simon Says....and it was super nice not creating a Christmas creation today.

I finally got some time to ink up the Technique Tuesday, Mon Ami Paris stamp set and here is what I created...

I was finding that some mojo had gone on a little vacation and so was struggling to create, so I went with simplicity...Stamping one of my all time favourite stamp sets Papillon, I stamped the Parisian background script onto some trimmed Kraft card stock with Frost White ink, sewing around the edge and dusting the edges with more of the same ink. Stamping the Eiffel Tower in black ink onto white card stock, trimming around the image and adhering to the Kraft card stock with foam dimensionals. Adding a sentiment that was stamped with Cough Syrup ink and completing the card by adhering to a trimmed white card and adding some red rhinestones.

I figured you could either give this to your loved one for Valentines day or even to a friend...

Make sure to jump over to the Challenge Blog to check out the other DT creations and the details of this weeks challenge....

I love that Heidi and the team give away $50 each week so that the lucky winner gets to go shopping in the Store...be sure to enter as many times as you can for a chance to win...

Okay, I have washing to be hung out and I may even try and venture back into the craft room to see if the mojo has returned...

Hope you all have a wonderful night!
