Comfy Chair!

Hi everyone! what a beautiful Autumn day it is here today, nice and sunny and just warm enough, I can see the changes in the trees that are turning their beautiful Autumn richness...so nice to see again.

So today I am back to share another one of Jane's Doodles digital images..and this time using one of her new designs..this cute little chair...

100_5894

I took the image and resized it on my computer and printed out onto some October Afternoon patterned paper, trimming out the pillow on one of the images and then trimming around the chair. Taking Kraft card stock and stamping along the bottom of the card using Papertrey Ink, Text Style 2 stamp that was inked with Frost White ink, I then adhered the chair using foam dimensionals just to the top of the text stamping. Adding a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Made with Love stamp set, finally adding rhinestones and Glossy Accents to the pillow on the chair.

I love this sweet image and is so great for paper piecing, if you interested in purchasing this image you can do so HERE.

There is still time to enter my Giveaway which you can view all the details HERE.

Okay I am off to play in the craft room, I just received my new line of stamps from Purple Onion Designs, which are being released soon, so be on the look out for that.

Bird Watching!

Happy Wednesday to you all, the week is moving along quite quickly, that helps with having a few days off work too...wish that could happen each week...LOL. Hoping to get lots of crafty work done this week seeing as it is a quiet week and now that the Easter rush at work is over things may settle back to a bit a normality.

Was planing on creating yesterday afternoon, but I came home to a wonderful surprise from Darryl, we ended up putting a new aerial on the roof of the house and now we can get a lot more channels on our new TV..I was super excited as he has known I have wanted this for a long time...I suppose if you wait long enough and are patient things really do come true.

Now before I head into today's card, I just wanted to thank everyone who has left me beautiful comments on my blog post from yesterday, you have all made me smile big from within...if you are wanting to leave a comment for the Giveaway you can do so HERE.

The card for today is a Purple Onion Designs card..thought it was time to share another one created with their beautiful stamps...make sure to check out the store, there are some new stamps that have arrived and the shipping rates are so reasonable.

100_5883

I took white card stock and trimmed to size, next, taking distress inks, Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutter, I added a skyline and grass line to the piece of card stock. Stamping the grass from the Stems and Grass stamp set, that was inked with Peeled Paint distress ink, adding the bird from the A Little Bird Told Me stamp set to the grass. Trimming more white card stock to form a tag and adding a birthday sentiment, next adhering this to the coloured card stock. Taking black card stock trimming it slightly larger then the imaged card stock and adhering together, then adhering to a trimmed white card.

I love how many of these POD stamps can be used to create different scenery looking cards, but with the touch of simplicity...I felt that this card you could make several to have on hand to give to that wonderful male in your life...the changing of the background colours is all that you would need to do.

Hoping to be able to share some of the new line of stamps that will be arriving in store very soon...stay tuned as I know that you will want to get your hands on these gorgeous ones.

Okay I am off to get some chores done for the day, I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will be back here tomorrow with another share...

Babushka Doll and Giveaway!

Happy Tuesday to you all! So it is back to work for me today, although I have thoroughly enjoyed my few days off...now I am counting down to my holiday at the end of the month..cannot wait.

Last night I ventured into the craft room and decided to colour one of Jane's Doodle images that had been sitting on my table for awhile..this image is a set of 2 that you are able to purchase through Squiggly Fly, super cute and great to colour, I coloured in the image of Olga.

100_5891

I had previously resized the image on my computer and printed it onto white card stock, colouring the image in with my Copics (at the end of each week I will share the colours that I have used on each image coloured in for each of the cards created for that week, the link is at the top of my blog) once coloured in, I trimmed around the image and set her aside to work on the rest of the card. Taking some red card stock, trimming it to size and stamping the Hero Arts, Happy Definition stamp that was inked with Poppy ink, stamping over the entire piece of trimmed card stock, sewing around the edge of the card stock and adhering to a Snow white card. Taking the Made with Love stamp set from Hero Arts, stamping a sentiment from this set at the top of the red card stock. Finally, adhering Olga to the card stock with foam dimensionals and adding a scattering of rhinestones to complete the card.

Here is a close up of the card.

Get Well!

Hello Friends! So how did you spend your Easter? Did the Easter Bunny bring you lots of chocolate..I was very good and only ate a small amount of chocolate..the worst thing is if I eat too much I end up with a migraine..so that I was not wanting to have..LOL.

So today we celebrate Anzac Day, for those that do not know what the meaning of this day is, it is where Australia and New Zealand remember those who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey, during World War 1, we honour those men whose courage and bravery stood tall to fight for their country as do the serving men and woman do today. My thoughts are with those that are currently serving, may they all return home safely.

I wanted to share a card today, that would cheer that special person who may be feeling a little under the weather..

100_5884

I took white card stock, trimming it to size and taking the Tall Flower stamp from Hero Arts, I stamped it directly onto the card stock, coloured the image in with my Copics and added white gel pen dots to some of the flower petals. Next, stamping a sentiment from the Type stamp set also from Hero Arts, I inked up the Envelope Pattern stamp with Soft Sand ink and stamped over the image. Taking distress inks, Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy I blended around the outer edges of the card stock. Adhering this to orange card stock and then onto a trimmed white card. Finally, adding rhinestones to match.

Well I hope you all enjoy your day, I will be back tomorrow with another share..

Hugs!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you all! I hope that you are enjoying the holidays with all your families, I know that we have been....Darryl and I spent Good Friday with all my family at my Mum's, eating and laughing lots. We spent the night and came home yesterday..we had so much fun and relaxation, just what I needed.

So it has been rather a quiet week here on the old blog, but am hoping that I may get a chance today to do lots of crafting so there will be heaps to share with you all next week.

For today though I am sharing a card that I created for Jay Gee's Nook and what could be better then another Easter card.

100_5819

Taking white card stock and trimming to form a card, stamping over the entire front of the card using the Hero Arts, Life of the Party Dots stamp, inked with Soft Pink ink. Next, trimming some Basic Grey patterned paper and trimming to form a hill, adhering to the front of the card, adding white dashes along the top edge of the paper. I then took the stamp Warm Fuzzies from My Favourite Things and stamped the bunny from the stamp set onto white card stock, colouring the bunny in with my Copics (see at the top of my blog for Copics used) trimming around the image and adhering to the front of the card using foam dimensionals. Taking more white card stock and one of the speech bubbles from the Hero Arts, Write You Message stamp set, stamping onto the white card stock and also onto the front of the card, stamping a Easter greeting inside the bubble from the My Favourite Things, One Sweet Chick stamp set, adding colour to the outer rim of the bubble and trimming it out, adhering it to the bubble that was on the card using more foam dimensionals. To complete the card I corner rounded the top two corners of the card.

Now don't forget to check out the Store as Judith has lots of new products that have arrived..also who will jump with me over to the blog to check out what creations Judith and Ange have created for us today??

Well I do hope that you all have a very Happy Easter, may it be filled with lots of laughs and happy memories for you all to cheerish, stay safe and enjoy your time.

Thank you all for leaving wonderful comments, it means the world to me and there are always smiles across my face when I read them, you guys are just the best!

Hugs to you all and Happy Easter once again!

Blues!!!

Hey sweet friends! sorry about the absence this week, life here is one whirlwind with the lead up to Easter festivities, work and home life crazy...but now I am on a 4 day break and cannot wait to relax and share time with my family and squeezing in some crafty time too.

Lots still to do before tomorrow, but I just wanted to pop in and share a quick card that I made yesterday in literally 10mins before I left for work.

I wanted to create something with the Memento Markers from Hero Arts, these little beauties have been starring down at me pleading to be used, so hence I broke them out and went to town with the Hero Hues, Sea coloured markers.

100_5823

Taking the Happy Definition stamp from Hero Arts and the Memento Markers, colouring sections at a time with each colour until I covered the entire stamp, spritzing with water to loosen the ink and stamping directly onto white card stock, trimming around the stamped background and adding light touches of blending to the edge using Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass and Broken China distress ink. Taking more white card stock and cutting a circle out, stamping one of the bicycles from the Bicycles stamp set from Hero Arts, adding distress ink, Black Soot to the edges of the circle and adhering to the background stamped card stock, trimming excess off from one side of the circle, adding a black dot line around the edge of the circle. Using more white card stock, trimming to form a tag and stamping a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set from Hero Arts, adhering to the background stamped image also. Finally, adhering some buttons and attaching this to a trimmed white card.

I love these markers and I am looking forward to having more time to play with them, but for now, this is a super quick card to share with you how easy it is to create a different background effect.

Alrighty, it is time to venture off and get a few more things done before this little chicken needs to lay the head down.

If I don't catch up with you all tomorrow have a wonderful Good Friday!

Lots of Stamping!

Hey friends, well it is the start of the week again and the count down for 4 days off work for me..I cannot wait, spending lots of time with my family and relaxing, just what the doctor ordered I think.

So have been going through some files on my computer and found a card that I created, inspired by my sweet friend Jennifer McGuire...wasn't sure whether to share it or not, but what the heck, cannot hurt I suppose.

100_5729

Taking the Classic Fabric Design inking it with some Soft Pool ink and stamping onto trimmed white card stock, distressing the edges of the card stock and adding blending of Tumbled Glass distress ink. Cutting a circle out of more white card stock, inking the Envelope Pattern background stamp with Antique Linen distress ink and stamping over the circle, applying more of the ink the the edges of the circle. Next, taking 3 of the flowers from the 4 Flowers stamp set and Milled Lavender distress ink, stamping all 3 flowers onto white card stock, trimming around each and applying a light dusting of more of the ink to the edges of the petals, adhering them together, adding pearls to the centre of the flower and twine at the back of the flower. Stamping a sentiment from the Everyday Sayings stamp set to the circle and adhere to the Fabric Design card stock. Finally, adhering the flower and a scattering of pearls either side of the circle, then adding this to a trimmed white card.

Well, must head off now, have to try and get a couple things done around the house, so that I don't have as much at the end of the week.

Hope you are all enjoying your Monday.

Hatching Chicks and New Feature Started!

Happy Saturday to everyone, how is your weekend progressing? I have had a busy day at work, but looking forward to that much needed sleep in tomorrow...

So before I share the card for today, I though that I would let you all know that I have started a new feature on my blog, that being, Copics of the Week...this feature you will find the link at the top of my blog. On this page you will find the list of Copics I have used to create that project, along with a photo of the project..this will help you all to know which colour combos that I happen to use on my creations...any other information that you need to know you can always ask me a question under the link at the top of my blog...let me know what you think of the new feature and whether it is well set out for you.

100_5822

Now onto today's card, I had to make a pretty quick card for my Aunt and Uncle for them to send home to their family for Easter, so this is what I created.

Taking the stamps from the Jillibean Soup, Eggcellent stamp set and some white card stock that was trimmed to size, stamping the 3 different Easter Chicks from the set across the card stock, colouring in with my Copics, adhering some goggly eyes to the eggs for a fun feature. I added sewing around the edge of the card stock, stamped a sentiment from the My Favourite Things, One Sweet Chick and adhered to My Minds Eye pattern paper. Adhering this to a trimmed white card, finally adding some rhinestones to complete the card.

Quite a quick card, but one that I hope that my Cousins will like...

Okay, I can hear the washing machine beeping at me, so that means it is telling me to get out of this chair and hang some washing out.

I hope you enjoy the new feature on my blog, I have decided to add details to this maybe once a week..but this could turn into more days if I have time.

Enjoy viewing the card and I will be back to share another creation with you all tomorrow..

Have a great night.

Sugar 'n' Spice Marci!

Happy Thursday to you all...gee that is a nice feeling..finally 2 days off work, with lots to do..

So yesterday I shared a La La Land image called Luka with Truck..fell in love with him, so decided to create another card with these wonderful images, this time I used the Sugar 'n' Spice Marci..I had these images printed out for awhile sitting on my desk ready to create something with them..I was ever so pleased I did, they are just so sweet, and they are really great for people wanting to learn to use their Copics better as the images have a lot of open space allowing for technique work. With this image today, I changed the look of the image just slightly, to give a different look.

100_5816

Taking the Sugar 'n' Spice Marci, resizing her on my computer and printing out onto white card stock, colouring in with my Copics and trimming around her. Trimming more white card stock to form a card, then running some Basic Grey patterned paper through my Cuttlebug, cutting a circle of the patterned paper. Adhering the circle to the front of the card, making sure some of the circle was trimmed off, adhering Sugar 'n' Spice Marci to the circle using foam dimensionals. Stamping a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Cupcakes stamp set to the base of the card, finally, adding a scattering of rhinestones to match to complete the card.

Here is a close up of the card.

100_5817

So everyone is seems to be keen to know how I will be sharing the colour combos of Copics used on my cards...so I will let you in on the secret...I will be starting a new feature on my blog, that will become a permanent feature, it will be a link at the top of my blog with the wording of "Copics of the Week". Under this link I will share a small view of the cards that I have created that week using my Copics along with the list of Copics used to colour that image in...with this feature, I will share at the end of each week, possibly on a Saturday..so they will all be there on a weekly basis for your viewing and an easier way to view, not having to scroll through my posts to find the correct colour.

So what does everyone think? Let me know, I would love to hear your feedback??

Now before I head off, I wanted to let you all know that Purple Onion Designs is having a sale..which you can check out HERE...and whilst you are there don't forget to check out the new stamps too...here is a sneak peek at one of them..so super cute.

Okay, I hope you all have a great day and don't forget to check out the Customer Gallery over at La La Land, some great inspiration..also a chance for you to win a prize too.

Luka with Truck!

Hey my sweet friends! so how is your week progressing? thankfully it is the middle of the week and after today, I have 2 days off, so looking forward to this, still recovering from this really bad infection, but something that may make me feel better is that my Uncle and Aunt arrive today, and that means I can spend time with them.

So last night, taking my Copics and finally colouring in one of the La La Land digital images that I brought, the first to be coloured in was Luka with Truck...I decided to colour this cutie in and create a card for my beautiful Nephew..he is doing so well in school and being the proud Aunty that I am, I wanted to send him a card to let him know.

100_5813

Taking the Luka with Truck image, resizing him on my computer and printing him out onto white card stock, colouring in with my Copics and trimming around him. Trimming Basic Grey patterned paper, piercing around the outer edge of the lighter colour paper and adhering to the darker coloured paper. Stamping a sentiment from the Papertrey Ink, Signature Greetings stamp set and adhering Luca with foam dimensionals under the sentiment. Finally, trimming white card stock to form a card and adhering the pattern paper to the front to complete.

Here is a close up of the card.

100_5814

Now before you all ask me what Copic colours I used..stay tuned as I will be having a little feature on my blog soon, that I am hoping will cover this.

I loved colouring in Luca and cannot wait to colour the rest of these sweet images in and I may just have to go and purchase more of these cuties, to view more inspiration of these wonderful images you can check out their Customer Gallery.

Well enjoy your day!

Masculine Card!

Happy Tuesday to you all, hope you enjoyed your Monday and that if you were at work it went quickly...lets hope that today goes just as quick..but if you were at home I hope that you got to do a little bit of crafting.

Today I have lots to share with you, so lets start sharing...

First off, I created another card using a image from the Hero Arts Portfolio over at Silhouette, now that my machine and I are on talking terms once again, I cut quite a few images out the other day, so I whipped up a card last night to share with you today.

100_5808

I took the Garden Urn 1 image, resized on my computer and sent it to be cut on my Silhouette, taking distress ink Pumice Stone and Peeled Paint, I applied the ink over the top of the urn and flicked water over the top to give a more aged effect. Trimming white card stock to size and inking the La Lettre stamp with Smokey Shadow ink, stamping directly onto the card stock and adding blending with Pumice Stone to the outer edges of the card stock. Adhering this card stock to a slightly larger trimmed black card stock, adhering this to a Kraft note card that had been stamped with Happy Definition that was inked with Smokey Shadow ink. Lastly, trimming more white card stock to form a tag and stamping a sentiment from the Essential Messages stamp set, adding a pearl either side of the sentiment.

Here is another view of the card.

100_5810

So there you have it, another Silhouette image card created...there is hope for me and my machine yet.

So onto some more shares, I have 2 videos for you to view, of all the goodies I have purchased over the last several months...I haven't done a video haul for quite awhile and have had a couple of requests, so here they are.

I hope you enjoyed all the shares in this post today..I look forward to returning tomorrow with another creation.

Make it Monday - Heat Embossing and Winner!

Hey Friends! Well another week now begins..don't you just wish that the weekend would never end? I sure do..LOL. We had quite a cold snap here yesterday, so sure means that old man winter is knocking at the door...I cannot wait to get all nice and cozy near the fire and write my blog posts to you all.

Today, I decided at the last minute to make a card for the Make it Monday, I think that I will be just scrapping it in..LOL, but what with being quite sick this past week, I really have had no energy to create anything, I also feel that some of my mojo has decided to go on sick leave also.

100_5802

(Please excuse the photo, I was having a couple issues with settings)

I took white card stock, trimmed it to form a card and using one of the Polka Dot background stamps from Polka Dot Basics 2 stamp set, inking it with some Sweet Blush ink and stamping at the base of the card, embossing it with clear embossing powder. Next, taking some Sweet Blush card stock, cutting a circle out of the card stock and stamping the large Mum Flower from the Year of Flowers, Mum's stamp set, with Versamark Ink and embossing once again with clear embossing powder. Trimming more Sweet Blush card stock to form a tag and stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark Ink and also embossing with clear embossing powder. Adhering to the card, adding some pearls to one side of the sentiment, lastly, corner rounding the top right hand corner to complete.

So before I leave you today, I will be announcing the winner of the Digi image of Mr Snail, but first I wish to thank each and everyone of you for leaving such beautiful comments not just on the post of Mr Snail but for all of my posts, you are truly the best readers ever...so the lucky person to have won this image is:

Taking the Hero Arts, Clouds stamp that was inked with Soft Pool ink, stamping over the top of the card stock, removing the mask and colouring her features in using my Copics. Next, using some patterned paper from My Minds Eye, stamping the little girl once again, along with the bucket and shovel, trimming around the swim suit, bucket and shovel and adhering to the card stock. Globe!

Hey my friends! Isn't it fab to know that it is the weekend, it has been rather a long drawn out week for me, so I was so grateful for today, knowing I could relax and try and recover further from being sick..but I have to tell you it is still hanging around, so rather persistent.

I have struggled this week to do anything crafty..although I have wanted to but the body has not allowed..however I did venture in there this afternoon and created a card for the current Hero Arts Challenge.

The card that I created I decided to give my Silhouette Machine another go...it seemed as though the machine and I really never saw eye to eye and I became so frustrated with it that I literally let it sit for many months...the problem I was finding was trying to find the right card stock that would cut...that issue has now been resolved and we are back on terms again...I have been cutting like crazy today.

100_5765

One of those die cuts I used was from the Hero Arts Portfolio, called the Globe. Setting it to the right size on my computer and sending it to be cut on the silhouette, I then pulled it off the mat very carefully and applied distress ink, Broken China and Brushed Corduroy. Trimming a white card to size, adding score lines to the base of the card and in between the score lines I added a sentiment from the Hero Arts, All Occasion Messages stamp set. To complete the card, I adhered the Globe to the card using foam dimensionals and added rhinestones to the base of the card.

I find that not only do we have wonderful men in our own lives, but we also have great male friends that can always do with a card..thus this is what I created here today.

I am feeling that now the issue between the Silhouette and Me has been resolved and that there is some love coming back into the fold, I will see myself using it more and more.

I hope you all enjoy viewing the card and that it gives you some inspiration..I look forward to seeing you all back here again tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Saturday night!

100_5754

I took the Couch image, resized it on my computer and printed it out onto my favourite patterned paper at present My Minds Eye, colouring the pillows on the couch with my Copics to add a little interest, trimming around the image and set aside to work on the rest of the card. Next, trimming some Aqua Mist card stock from Papertrey Ink and inking one of the stamps from Tin Types Background stamps with Aqua Mist ink, stamping the entire card stock. I added stitching around the outside of the card stock, then added the couch using foam dimensionals, I stamped a sentiment under the couch from the Wish you Were Here stamp set from Hero Arts. To complete the card I added buttons to match either side of the sentiment and trimmed a white card, adhering the aqua card stock to the front of the card using foam dimensionals.

Something to Brighten Your Day!

Hey Girls! News on this front....I am still down sick with this rotten fluey thing...I have almost lost my voice now...I just keep wishing it to go away, please do the same for me :)

I thought today I would share a card that I am sending overseas to a special someone, they need a little cheering in their lives and I thought that this would be the perfect card.

100_5740

I took pattern paper from My Minds Eye an the stamp set, Layered Flowers from Hero Arts, stamping the flower 3 times onto the paper and the leaf that was also in this set 2 times. Trimming around the flower, cutting in so this would form 3 different levels and also trimming around the leaves. Taking the flowers and the leaves, adding Tumbled Glass distress ink the the edges of the flowers and to the leaves, adding Peeled Paint distress ink. Working on the rest of the card, taking white card stock, trimming to size and inking the Envelope Pattern stamp from Hero Arts with Walnut Stain distress ink, stamping over the card stock, going over the entire card stock with Antique Distress ink. Next, taking a piece of Fine Linen card stock from Papertrey Ink, trimming it down and inking the Woodgrain background stamp from Hero Arts with Soft Sand ink, stamping onto this card stock. Adhering both of the card stocks to a trimmed white card. To cover the seam between the card stocks, I took some Lace from Hero Arts and placed it over the top of the two card stocks. I then took the flower and adhered each of the layers together and the leaves and added it to the card using foam dimensionals. Lastly, trimming more white card stock to form a tag and stamping a sentiment from the Just Find Me stamp set from Hero Arts, adhering to the card and finishing with scattering of pearls.

I sure do hope that this card spreads a little cheer!

Don't forget that there is still time to enter in the giveaway that I am currently having..you can view all the details HERE.

Alright, I am off to rest...when I eventually get my voice back I will have a couple of video shares with you, some of the goodies that have been arriving and also I have had quite a few comments asking me how I take my photos, so will be sharing a video on that also.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Snail Friends and Giveaway!

Hey friends! So it is Tuesday here and it is a nice Autumn's day, wishing I could stay at home and enjoy...but knowing me I would just curl up in bed right now, due to having been sick for almost over a week now..hoping it passes soon, because there is so much that I wish to do around here.

As I have been sick this past week there have been so many well wishes from friends around the world, whether it be on Twitter or comments through my blog from the people that have known I was, I cannot be more grateful..you are all just the best friends that anyone could have.

So in order to make you smile and say thank you, I would like to have a little giveaway...Jane, from Jane's Doodles kindly offered that I would be able to have a little giveaway with one of her images...but first I wish to share a card that I created using the Mr Snail image.  All of Jane's images can be found HERE or HERE, super super cute, a must check out!

I resized the image, flipped one of the snails around so they were facing one another on my computer and printed it out onto white card stock along with a scratch piece of paper. Trimming around the 2 snails that were on the scratch paper and adhering over the top of the snails on the card stock with removable adhesive, using this to mask the images off, taking the Hero Arts, Cloud background stamp, inking it with Pool ink and stamping over the top of the card stock, peeling the masking off and colouring the snails in with my Copics. Taking some My Minds Eye patterned paper, blending some Peeled Paint distress ink over the top of the paper and adhering to the cloud card stock, adding some twine to the top of the paper. Finally, trimming white card stock to form a tag and stamping a sentiment from the All Occasion Messages stamp set, corner rounding the corners and adhering to a Raspberry Fizz card, corner rounding the corners to match.

Alright, so now onto the giveaway..I have decided that I am going to giveaway Mr Snail to one lucky person as he is uber cute, leave me a comment on this post by 11.59pm, Sunday 10th April, (Australian time) and I will announce the winner on Monday 11th April (Australian time).

Looking forward to seeing all your comments.

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs
