A Bit of Everything!

Hey girls! Today has been the most incredibly hot day and there is more yet to come, come on Winter, I so long for the fire to be going, me snuggled up in my warm clothes and drinking a nice hot tea.

To try and distract me from the soaring heat, what could be better then to share a blog post with my favourite readers, ones that leave me the sweetest of comments and that I am thankful for.

I have as my title of my blog post a little bit of everything to share with you, so lets get started.

I was searching around on my computer and stumbled across a card that I have never shared, I think it was one of those cards that, "I am not quite sure card". However, I am taking the plunge tonight and sharing it with you, the butterflies on the card were all digital images from Hero Arts, that I resized and adhered together. The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory, but as always ask away if you wish to know anything.

100_4413

The next thing to share with you is a video, sharing some of the goodies that I have purchased recently.

Now for some sharing of links:

Last share for tonight is this book that I am currently reading, I love the way Judith Krantz writes, call me a romantic at heart, but from the moment of me picking up this book, it grabbed me from the first page and I knew it was going to be a wonderful romance novel. This may be an older novel, but I find it a really great read.

Okay, so that is my little bit of everything for you to feast your eyes on.

I will return tomorrow with some exciting news, so be sure to check on in.

Jay Gee's Nook Challenge 4

Hey bloggie Friends! Being a really hot day here today, I am staying under the A/C and not doing too much, but before I do the "Not too Much" day, I wanted to share the card that I have created for the start of a new challenge over at Jay Gee's Nook.

I can honestly say, that this is my favourite inspiration photo yet.

Isn't it just the nicest, I love all those natural colours and the possibilities of creating a card just from these few images is mind blowing.

Here is my creation.

100_5550

I took a Hero Arts note card, Mocha, and stamped the Envelope Pattern stamp that was inked with Latte ink over the front of the note card, setting aside to work on the rest of the card. Next, trimming some Kraft card stock to size, I stamped the Three Ferns stamp, that was inked with Latte ink. I took a piece of Sticky Back Canvas and ripped and frayed the piece to the desired size, gluing it on top of the Kraft card stock. Taking some Vellum, I stamped the Traditional Butterfly, inked with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimming around the butterfly and attaching to the fern stamped image using Glossy Accents. Then taking a piece of white card stock, I trimmed it to size and stamped a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set, adhering the tag to the Sticky Back Canvas using foam dimensionals. Lastly, adding some natural Jute, rhinestones and adhering the main image to the front of the card with foam dimensionals to complete the card.

Okay so I don't know about you, but I am itching to jump on over the Jay Gee's Nook and check out the blog, because, today not only are the DT members creating some eye candy for you, but there is also a special guest, and one that I am really excited about, so come along and join me and don't forget to join in the fun of creating a card for this challenge.

Have a great day!

Birdcage!

Hey Everyone! I am here typing this blog post as I lay in bed on what could become a lazy Thursday, I have today off and sitting here trying to work out do I go get ready and go out shopping or do I stay at home where there is a air conditioner???

So me laying here in bed, I thought that I would share another Purple Onion Designs card, I have just realised that I have not shared this card with you all, this sweet birdcage set was one of the new releases.

Birdcage Set

Trimming Kraft card stock to form the card and punching a circle out of more Kraft card stock, I stamped the birdcage and bird using Colorbox Ink, Frost White, slightly off centre, I added some white gel pen dots around the the circle and set aside to dry. Next, I took some aqua card stock and ran it through my Cuttlebug, embossing the card stock with the Hello Friend embossing folder. I took the card and scored 3 lines on the front of the card, next adhered the aqua card stock and the circle to the card. I trimmed some white card stock to create a tag and stamped one of the sentiments from this set, adhering this to the top of the card using foam dimensionals. Lastly, I added scatters of pearls to complete the card.

Okay so I have completed the blog post for the day, and thought that by the time I finished typing this, I would have made a decision as to what I was going to do..LOL, Hmmmm! well it seems I will have to think on this a little more.

Enjoy your day today!

Australia Day!

Hey girls! Today we celebrate Australia Day here in Down Under, the day that the first settlement was established in 1788, thus celebrating this wonderful country of ours.

To honour that day in a crafty way, I have paired up with the lovely and talented Linda to showcase some wonderful Hero Arts stamps, using the Australian colours, Green and Gold. I know for sure that these colours I find hard to mix together, but it was a fun way to expand my crafting skills.

We decided to use any Hero Arts stamps to create our cards, without further ado here are my creations:

100_5439

I took Kraft card stock trimmed to form a card, next taking the Hello Flags stamp, I stamped it a couple of times onto white card stock, colouring the flags in with my Copics, trimming around the few that I wished to use. Cutting a piece of white twine, I adhered the flags to the twine using foam dimensionals, then placed the flags onto the card, tying little bows of the twine and adhering to the ends of the flag banner. Adding scoring lines to the base of the card and stamping a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set and pearls either side of the sentiment to complete the card.

100_5538

This card I wanted to be a fun card and one that captured the true spirit of Australians. I took Kraft card stock, trimming it to size to form the card, next taking the Owl Trio stamp set and some Basic Grey patterned paper, stamping each of the owls onto the paper and trimming out, adding touches of Copics to the owls. I also stamped each of the owls onto the front of the card front and adhered each of the owls that were stamped onto the patterned paper using foam dimensionals and adding googly eyes to each of these sweet owls. I typed a sentiment on my computer and printed it out onto some white card stock, stamping one of the speech bubbles around the sentiment from the Write Your Message, trimming around the bubble and adhering to the card. Lastly, adding white gel pen top and bottom of the card.

100_5536

This last card, I wanted to create a male card, which I know as always is sometimes hard to create. Taking the The Traditional Butterfly and stamping onto white card stock, colouring the image in with my Copics and trimming around the butterfly. Taking more white card stock, trimmed it to size and covered the entire card stock, using distress ink, antique linen, taking more distress ink, walnut stain and one of the stamps from the Earth Flowers stamp set, I stamped across the card stock, blending back over the stamped image with more antique linen, adding touches of black soot. I adhered the butterfly with Glossy Accents and set aside to dry. Trimming some Kraft card stock to form a tag, I then stamped the sentiment from Find Joy stamp set, I adhered all the pieces to a trimmed white card, lastly, adding 2 antique brads either side of the sentiment to complete the card.

So I hope that these cards along with Linda's cards give you some inspiration to take hold of the colours that sometimes you are not quite confident with and create something, just have fun with it, you never know how things will turn out.

Okay, I cannot hold my excitement any longer I am off to check out Linda's cards, come along with me and leave her some wonderful comments.

Tiffany Doodles Sneak Peek!

Hey Everyone! So pleased to have completed that day at work, and now I get to enjoy 2 days off, hopefully with lots of crafty work in those 2 days.

As promised, today I will be sharing one of the new digital images from Tiffany Doodles, I created a card using the lovely new image of the Daphne. I love Daphne's and so I found it so wonderful to colour.

Here are some of the other peeks.

100_5475

I took the image sized it the appropriate size and printed it onto some Kraft card stock, colouring the image in with my Prismacolor pencils, adding a Hero Arts sentiment to the other side of the daphne. Taking a white gel pen, I drew a border around the outside, I added some twine and pearls, lastly, adhering to a trimmed white card stock to finish.

Be sure to check out some of the other DT members to see what they have created show casing this wonderful image. Tomorrow will be the last day of peeks, Friday the 28th these wonderful images will be available for purchase.

Well I am off to relax and watch a little TV.

I will be back tomorrow to share something exciting, so be sure to check in here and see what it will be.

Valentines Love!

Hey bloggie friends! how is your first day of the week going, mine I am glad to say is over, the last 3 days at work have been incredibly tiring, so pleased to know that I get to have a sleep in tomorrow and so looking forward to having 2 days off due to a public holiday, then work one and have the next 2 days off, sheer bliss.

So today's post brings me to showcasing a couple of things, the first being a Purple Onion Designs card, that is already for sale in my Etsy Shoppe.

I love that using the Noteblock stamps from Purple Onion Designs allows you to literally stamp it and it shows it self off with no added embellishing.

Valentine Noteblock

I chose to use a bright pink card stock and stamp the Love Noteblock stamp that was inked with Versamark Ink, heat embossing it with white embossing powder, trimming around the stamped image and adding it to a trimmed white card. Adding only scoring lines to the other side of the Noteblock to complete the card.

Be sure to check out the website to see the wonderful Noteblocks available and other gorgeous stamps.

Now onto the other showcase or should I say the sneak peek, today is the start of a 3 day event at Tiffany Doodles, showing 3 new designs that will be available on Friday for you to buy and create your own card.

Here is a little of what you can view, if you click HERE, you should be able to view some of the cards that the DT members have created.

I will be back here tomorrow to share my card that I have created with one of the new images, so be sure to check back in here.

Before I head off to make some dinner, I would like to remind you that Jay Gee's Nook Challenge is still going and you have time to enter to win a great prize.

Okay, have a great night everyone and I will see you all tomorrow.

Rocket!

Hey girls! how does it get to being Sunday this quickly and where has the time gone already, I mean we are nearly at the end of January, scary thought!

As it is Sunday, it is time for another DT card for Jay Gee's Nook and I have to say, this time I not overly happy with the card that I created, the stamps are beautiful and they are from A Muse, which I adore, but for me I cannot put my finger on it or maybe I have been looking at the photo and card for too long...LOL.

100_5488

Starting with Kraft card stock, that was trimmed to form a card, I took the Hero Arts, Envelope Pattern background stamp, stamping on the front of the card with Versamark Ink and clear embossing. Next, taking some white card stock, I trimmed it to fit on the front of the card, then stamping the Rocket and To The Moon sentiment, I coloured the Rocket in using my copics, I then sewed around the edge of the white card stock with navy cotton, I adhered to the card using foam dimensionals. Taking PTI, Cloud Die, I ran it through my Cuttlebug, cutting 2 clouds out of Vintage Cream felt, then adhering both clouds to the image. To finish the card, I wrapped some twine at the base of the card.

Okay so I am off to check out what the other DT members have been up to and to also check out the shop as well, because I have just realised that there are some yummy new products that have arrived, so lets skip on over and check it out.

Alrighty, I hope that everyone enjoys there rest of their weekend and I look forward to returning with some yummy eye candy for you all to check out, throughout the week.

Valentine Inchies!

Hey Girls! How did you all enjoy your Friday night? We had a really quite night listening to the thunder and rain on the tin roof, nothing better then hearing the rain and the first smells of it hitting the trees, bushes and grasses, I just adore, it is one of my all time favourite things in life and always brings a smile to my face.

So today I thought that I would share another Purple Onion Designs card for you and a Valentines card to boot.

I created this card using one of my favourite paper crafting products at present, Inchies, I have to say at first these little pieces scared the heck out of me, I didn't really know what to do with them. But once I used them on a Christmas card that I created last year that you can view HERE if you have not seen before, I was so hooked and now I cannot wait to pick them up every now and then and create with them.

Joy Taylor - Valentine Inchies

Taking 3 of the inchies and the Damask stamp, I inked up each of the inchies using Colorbox Ink, setting aside to dry. Next, taking some pink card stock, I punched a small heart out and added some pink rhinestones to match. Taking white card stock, trimming it to size to form a card. I then adhered each of the inchies to the card front, using Glossy Accents and adding the heart with foam dimensionals. Lastly, stamping a sentiment that was from the new Christmas line for 2010 and added rhinestones either side of the sentiment.

A really simple card to create, one in which you could change the colours out on the inchies to match that perfect persons personality and as my blog title always suggests, Less is More.

Okay, I hope everyone enjoys there day and don't forget to pop on over to my You tube channel to view the PTI goodies.

Embellished Tag!

Hey everyone! So how is your day going? I gather a lot of you are saying Thank you, it is Friday, well for me, I am wishing it was not over...work starts again for me tomorrow, big sigh...LOL.

With today being really hot and sticky, not much action has been happening in the craft room, however, to not disappoint you all, I have managed to whip up a card using one of the Papertrey Ink Tag dies.

I have added these die cuts to my Etsy shoppe, along with a few other things over the last couple of days, so be sure to check them out and spread the word.

100_5509

Using the Kraft card stock die that was cut, I also took some white card stock and the PTI, die from the Limitless Layers Die collection and ran it through my Cuttlebug. Staying with the Cuttlebug, I ran one of my new dies the butterfly, cutting a butterfly out of A Muse pink gingham paper. I adhered a button to the centre of the butterfly and then adhered the butterfly to the circle die. Taking pink card stock, I trimmed to form a sentiment tag and stamped a sentiment from the PTI, Everyday Button Bits stamp set, adhering all the the pieces to the Kraft tag, adding some pink rhinestones either side of the sentiment and pink ribbon through the top of tag. Taking more of the pink card stock, I took the PTI, Polka Dots Basic 2 stamp set, inking it with some Colorbox Ink, Frost White and stamped a couple of rows of dots, trimming the card stock down to fit onto a trimmed white card. Lastly adhering the tag to the front of the card.

The possibilities of embellishing one of these tags are endless to add to a card, scrapbook page or even straight onto a gift.

Be sure to check over at my You tube Channel later on to check out what PTI goodies arrived in the mail today.

Well enjoy your Friday night, think of me tomorrow and in general, happy stamping!

Antique Butterfly Collage!

Hey Readers! Today brings me to sharing a Purple Onion Designs card, I was really happy with how this card turned out and thought it was time to share it with you guys.

Vintage Butterfly Collage

Using a Spellbinder Circle die, I cut a circle out of white card stock and taking some of the stamps from the Vintage Postcard stamp set and the Late 1800's Background stamp, inking each up with black ink and stamping in various sections of the circle to give a collage effect. Taking distress inks, antique linen and broken china, blending over the circle to tone down the white card stock. Next, taking more white card stock, I stamped a butterfly from the Vintage Butterfly stamp set, colouring the butterfly in with my Copics, then adhering to the circle using Glossy Accents. Taking blue card stock, trimming it to form a card, adhering the circle to the card using foam dimensionals. Lastly, trimming white card stock and stamping a Happy Birthday sentiment, adding rhinestones either side of the sentiment and adhering the the bottom of the card, also adding rhinestones to the centre of the butterfly as well.

I love that the use of these Purple Onion Designs stamps, they stamp up so beautifully and are fantastic to make collage effects amongst others.

Alrighty, I am off to get a little lunch and possibly do some more crafting.

Card and Video!

Hey everyone! Sorry have been MIA the last couple of days, have been rather ill, but feeling a lot better then I was, still a little yucky but nothing compared to what I was.

Not much happening in the craft room due to this, but I did manage to do a video share and create a quick card. I received an email from Tami, saying that sad news had happen over the weekend, that being the passing of a wonderful man, Mike. My heart goes out to his family and to all his wonderful friends, including the team of Hero Arts.

As you would know from my previous post, I had created a card for Mike and unfortunately he will not be able to view this, but I will still send it onto his family, along with the card that I have made tonight, ready to be shipped out to head for the US.

I also found inspiration from the catalogue, although the card that I saw on page 13, was a friend inspired card, I decided to make this into a sympathy card.

100_5482

I took a Lilac note card and Earth Flowers stamp set, stamping one of the stamps from the set across the card and embossing with white embossing powder. I trimmed some Celadon paper and stamped the Envelope Pattern background stamp that was inked with Soft Green ink, adhering this to the bottom of the card. Trimming white card stock and stamping a sentiment from the With Sympathy stamp set, I then adhered this over part of the Celadon card paper. I punched a butterfly from the same Celadon paper and adhered with Glossy Accents, lastly, adding purple rhinestones either side of the sentiment and to the middle of the butterfly. I wanted to add a little extra to the card so, I took another sentiment and stamped the inside of the card, also stamping one of the flowers that came with the With Sympathy stamp set that was inked with Soft Lilac ink slightly over the sentiment.

Here is the inside of the card.

100_5484

I know that a lot of us from the Flickr group have created cards or are in the process of sending cards to Hero Arts, that then will be sent onto his family, my hope that these cards bring Mike's family some source of comfort.

Okay so now onto something that you can view, sharing some of the goodies that I have brought with some left over birthday money as well as some of the Christmas money that I received.

Well I hope that you have enjoyed viewing the card and also the video, I will hopefully be back to full swing and crafting once again.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

Card for Mike!

Hey Everyone! If you have read the Hero Arts blog and have been following the Hostess blog hop you would have read that a dear friend of the company called Mike is battling with Cancer right now (a dreadful disease that claimed the life of my loving Dad many years ago). So I decided to create another card for Mike seeing as the ones that I created for the blog hop were rather girlie looking, I also wanted to create a card for this months challenge over at Hero Arts.

I was totally inspired by the cards created by the Wish You Were Here stamp set featured on page 18 of the 2011 catalogue.

100_5477

I took some Kraft card stock, trimmed to size to form a card, then taking some Basic Grey, Curio patterned paper, I stamped the chair onto the paper and trimmed it out, I added some touches of distress ink, walnut stain around the outside of the image. Next, trimming some text paper, which I added some light touches of walnut stain, white card stock and some brown card stock, taking the white card stock, I stamped the sentiment that was contained in the set and adhered all the pieces to the card, adding some twine above the sentiment. I took the chair and attached it to the card using foam dimensionals, adding glossy accents to the buttons on the chair for added interest. Lastly, I coloured in some rhinestones brown to match using my Copics.

I think that this set is going to be quite a favourite of mine, I love the fact that it can be used to create male or female cards, depending on the occasion.

I hope you all have a really crafty day today!

Firstly, I wanted to take the time to thank each and everyone of you that commented on my blog and for ones that are new to my blog and are now following, I hope that you find something that inspires you. Thank you to everyone!

The winner of the giveaway is:

BARB FROM WA

Congratulations Barb, can you email me your address so that I can post your goodies to you.

Okay now onto the card for today.

I decided to create a Valentines card for today using the sweet Raining Hearts stamp from Elzybells, now as we all know they are no longer in production but they are still for sale at Jay Gee's Nook, they are the sweetest stamps and stamp up so well, so why not check out what she has in store.

100_5460

I trimmed white card stock to form the card, also trimming more white card stock to stamp the image onto. I coloured the image in with my Copics and sewed around the outside of the card stock. Next, I trimmed some pink gingham card stock and adhered to the card, also adhering the stamped image using foam dimensionals. Lastly, stamping a corresponding sentiment and adding some pearls either side of the card stock.

I wish to add here that I was totally inspired by Carly Robertson who is just the sweetest and most talented gal out there, you must check out her blog and sweet little Etsy store to.

Well, I am currently in the middle of trying to get my house clean, and for a breather decided to write this post. I think I have lost several kilos from pure sweat today (or at least I hope so) it is extremely hot here today, and all I can say is roll on Winter.

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the weekend, I look forward to bringing you another creation tomorrow.

Hero Hostess Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! So today is the last day of the most amazing week of blog hopping, there has been some serious eye candy for us to feast our eyes on. In some ways I find that this is a sad day as this is the last day of the hop, but in others it is a happy one too as I finally get to show you what I have created using the most wonderful stamps in the world.

So with that being said, if you have arrived at my blog, you would have arrived from Jenny Suchins blog, and what beautiful creations she has made. If for some reason you find a broken link, you can always head back to the Hero Arts blog for the master list or please contact Tami at tami@heroarts.com and provide the following blog address that has the broken link and it will be fixed.

Okay! I finally get to share my creations with you all.

100_5466

Using Eggshell note card from Hero Arts, inking the Envelope Pattern (S5507) background stamp with antique linen distress ink, covering the entire front of the card. Stamping the large flower from the Layered Flowers (CL496) twice onto Basic Grey patterned paper with Versamark Ink and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. Taking worn lipstick distress ink, applying directly to a craft sheet, adding perfect pearl powder, spritzing with water, applying to the stamped image. With the other flower that was embossed, I took the Happy Definition (CG296) stamp inking it with the same antique linen distress ink and stamped over the image. Trimming each flower out, along with some white and pink card stock. Adding a sentiment from the Find Joy (CL497) stamp set to white card stock, adhering each of the items to the front of the card, finishing with pearls to complete the card.

100_5454

Next card, using the same stamp sets, I created a background with the Happy Definition stamp (CG269), using the same antique linen ink. Stamping the other flower from the same Layered Flower stamp set, twice onto white card stock, colouring both flowers in using my Copics. I also stamped the leaf 3 times from this set and coloured in the images, trimming each of the items out. I took Kraft card stock and trimmed to size and stamped a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set, adding white gel pen lines around the edges to give a border. Lastly, adhered each of the items together and then onto the the card, adding white gel pen to the centre of the flower.

The last creation that I wish to share with you is something that we sometimes struggle with creating, which is the males in our lives. How many times have we thought what can we make for the men that we love. I know that I struggle from time to time, so I decided to create a writing set.

100_5455

This was pretty straight forward, taking white paper and stamping the bicycle from the Bicycles (CG295) stamp set along the base of the paper, stamping out 10 sheets of paper. I wanted to add 2 cards to the set, making it a monochromatic feel of black and white, stamping the Happy Definition stamp over 2 snow cards, then trimming some black and white card stock, I took the bicycle once again and stamped onto the trimmed white card stock, adding a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set, along with black pearls either side of the sentiment. Adhering both trimmed card stocks and then onto the card fronts. Lastly stamping the bicycle once again onto some white envelopes (I only share 2 of these in the photos).

Here is another view of the writing set:

100_5456

I hope you have enjoyed viewing my creations and also have enjoyed viewing the most amazing masterpieces along the way this week, there have been such an array of amazing talent in this weeks blog hop.

Masking!

Hey Girls! Venturing out of the comfort zone here and using a lot of red, it is not a normal colour that I reach for often, I do dabble with it occasionally, but in general I will reach for another colour, so this was a huge challenge for me.

I decided to have a go at using masking, and I am not quite sure if I achieved this or not..LOL, but that is what crafting is all about.

100_5450

I took white card stock trimming it to size, stamping the lantern from the Hero Arts, Four Dolls stamp set, I also stamped this onto a post it not, then by stamping the centre one, I re stamped all the way across the card stock, masking off where needed. I coloured all the lantern's in with different shades of red Copics, adding Glossy Accents over the top. Once the Glossy Accents dried, I took the new Hero Arts, Envelope Pattern background stamp, inking it up with some distress ink, antique linen, adding more antique linen over the card stock, along with walnut stain. I corner rounded 2 of the corners, added a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Big Hugs stamp set and red rhinestones to match adhered either side of the sentiment. Taking Kraft card stock, I trimmed it to form the card, adding 3 lots of Japanese Masking Tape to the bottom section of the card. I then adhered the card stock to the front of the card using foam dimensionals. Lastly, corner rounding the 2 corners of the card.

I enjoyed making the card, but however, really am not sure on this, I think as I said before it is out of my comfort zone, which is not a bad thing, this allows you to stretch your capabilities.

Before I go, I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone that has sent lots of tweets and emails, asking if we are okay here due to flooding, to let you all know we are currently safe. It is the state above us, Queensland, they are experiencing the most horrific times in their lives right now. My heart and thoughts go out to my fellow Australians, I hope that the pain of these circumstances happening right now ease for you all quickly.

Hugs to you all!

A Card and Some Sharing!

Hey Girls! Bringing you a few things today, the first being a card that I created for Purple Onion Designs, I created this card a little while back now and realised today that I had not shared this one with you.

A really simple card, which lets face it is so my style.

Joy Taylor - Snow Drop Thank You

Trimming black, white and kraft card stock to fit together, then taking the Drooping Flowers stamp, I inked it up with Colorbox Ink, Frost White and stamped onto the kraft card stock, adding some light dusting of the same ink around the edges of the card stock. I took a Thank You sentiment and stamped at the top of the card stock, adding some pearls under the sentiment. Adhering all the pieces together to finish the card.

A really simple card that you could turn into a sympathy card or a mass set to give to someone as a present.

The second thing that I wish to share with you, is as you all know us past Hostesses are having a blog hop this week to show case the new line of stamps that have been released by Hero Arts for 2011, so make sure you check in each day at the Hero Arts Blog to blog hop and view the amazing eye candy. January Challenge for Jay Gee's Nook!

Hey Girls! After having a couple weeks off from creating for Jay Gee's Nook I am back into full swing mode creating again and it is also the first challenge for 2011, so what better way to start of the creating process again for Judith.

Here is the inspiration photo, love the pinks and yellows together, so soft and pretty.

I decided to create 2 cards featuring the colours that I drew from the picture.

Using the A Muse stamp Marigold (I love, love, love this stamp, so much that you can create with this beauty) I stamped it a couple of times onto the pink and yellow gingham card stock from A Muse and cut around the flowers, adding a Basic Grey brad through the centre of each and dusting around the edges of the flowers using distress ink, scattered straw and spun sugar. I took white card stock trimmed it to size to form 2 cards and running the fronts of the cards through my Cuttlebug, embossing each. Taking more white card stock, trimmed to size, top edge corner rounded using the corner chomper and trimming a punching yellow and pink card stock with the Fiskars, Apron Lace border punch, adhering to the bottom of the trimmed white card stock. I added a Hero Arts sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set to the bottom of the trimmed card stock, lastly, added foam dimensionals to the base of trimmed card stock and to the flowers adhering everything to the card.

I hope that these 2 cards give you some inspiration to enter the new challenge, why not follow me over to the blog and check out what all the other DT members and the special guest have created. Also don't forget to check out the store, new and awesome products at unbelievable prices, things range from Hero Arts products (even the new catalogue products), Janes Doodles buttons and stamp set, great twine, Lawn Fawn stamps and many more so be sure to check them all out.

I also wanted to add here, that as most of you know if you have read THIS post or have seen the photo in the side bar that I am having a blog candy giveaway for my first blog anniversary, I did say that I would be announcing the winner on Saturday the 15th January, due to other commitments on my blog at that time that I will be now announcing the winner on Sunday the 16th January (Australian time). Sorry for the delay, entries will still close on Friday the 14th January, so be sure and read the post and comment for a chance to win.

Okay so I am off to try and stay cool somewhere, it is a stinker here today.

I loved the fact that I was able to resize the butterfly and copy and paste several times so that I had a lot more to use later on, on another project.

I coloured and trimmed around each of the butterflies, adding them to white card stock and trimmed some black card stock to mat the white onto, then stamped the Hero Arts, old letter writing that was inked with antique linen. More white card stock and used distress ink, broken china, peeled paint and dusty concord, layering heavily onto the card stock to cover, spritzing with water, then stamp the Hero Arts, graph background stamp that was inked with walnut stain over the top, making sure to press lightly. Next, tearing the edge and adding distress ink, walnut stain along the torn side, adhering this to a Kraft trimmed card stock, adding twine, the images of the butterflies and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, essential messages set to finish

I hope you enjoy viewing the card, now don't forget to check out the Blog to see more eye candy.

Also before I sign off, make sure to check out my blog candy details in post below for a chance to win.
