Inspired By Kristina Werner!

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Yesterday was my first day back at work and boy was it a long day, 8hrs standing on concrete flooring really took it out of me, but alas I made it through the day and well I am once again back to do it again today.

Before I venture off, I wanted to share a card that I have created this year as one of my Christmas cards...this card is totally inspired by the wonderfully and talented Kristina Werner. I have been following Kristina for a number of years and I always feel inspired and excited by her designs.

In 2009, Kristina created what was called Holiday Card Series and has continued to do this every year, if you have not checked out this years version it is a must...you can view it HERE.

So back in 2009 her very first card of that series was this totally jaw dropping card below...you can also view her video HERE on how she created this card.

I knew that one day I wanted to create a card similar and well yes it has taken me a couple of years to get around to do that and well this year was the year...here is my inspired version...

It is a pretty straight forward card so I will not bore you with the details, but you can view what I used to create this card in the links provided at the bottom of this post.

I am really happy with how this card turned out...over the next couple of days I will be sharing the card designs for me for 2011...creating bundles of 10 have made it a relatively easy process for making cards this season.

Alrighty, time for me to get a couple of jobs done before heading to work...

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs

I'm a regular blog reader but don't often comment. However, today I wanted to let you know your work always inspires me and I'm continually blown away by what you come up with.
Keep on crafting!

What a beautiful take on Kristina's card! I love the way your red numbers totally pop against the cool winter-themed colours of the background. And the bling in the centre of the snowflake - perfection!

Both cards are beautiful but I have to say that I love yours more. I think it is that pop of virbrant red against the demure shades of blue. Just so charming and elegant. Thanks for sharing.
