There is a bit of a story behind my card and really could have used the umbrella in this stamp...running a bit behind this week creating a card, what with work and home life, things have been rather hectic...so finishing part of the card yesterday before heading to work and with thoughts of finishing it completely off ready for photographing this morning, alas that was not meant to be. After completing work last night, I rushed home made myself a cuppa and ventured to the craft room, turning around to grab something and yep, the cuppa tea went all over my card and ruined it..Aaaargh! don't you just hate when that happens! so hence I had to rush and recreate today...

This is what I created for this weeks challenge...

The challenge this week was to create a project based upon a film/song title...my song was from a great song from Annie Lennox - Here Comes the Rain Again...loved this song when it first hit the charts and still do today.

I created this card pretty quickly as it needed to be on the blog for your viewing. So taking some Pool paper, trimming to create a card, stamping the front of the card with Flower and Dot Pattern that was inked with Pool ink, setting aside to work on the rest of the card. Stamping the My Umbrella stamp onto white card stock that was trimmed to size, colouring in with my Copics, stamping once again onto a post it note, trimming the image out for masking. Masking of the image that had been coloured and applying a layer of Pumice Stone and Black Soot distress ink, removing the mask and applying dashes of Glossy Accents as for a rain falling look. Punching each of the corners of the white card stock, along with Pool paper that was trimmed slightly larger then the white card stock, with a 1 inch circle punch. Adhering this to the front of the card and completing the card by adding a sentiment and pearls.

I hope you gain some inspiration in this card to create a card for the challenge this week and what better of an incentive then winning....

Don't forget to pop on over to the Simon Says Blog, lots going on for....
