Copic Striped Ribbon!

Happy Monday to you all! What are you plans for today?? Me it is work once again, shame that the weekends go so fast...

Today I wanted to share a card that was truly inspired by Nichole Heady, this week over at Papertrey Ink, the Make it Monday was run by Nichole and she shared how to custom make your own ribbon, by adding Copics...however, Nichole used Grosgrain ribbon and for me, once searching through my collection, I found that I did not have white or cream grosgrain, but I did find white twill...my thought was, well lets give it a go and this is what I created....

Using all PTI products, I first trimmed Kraft card stock and ran through my Cuttlebug using the impression plate, In Bloom, adding a dusting of Frost White Ink to the edges and set aside to work on the ribbon. Trimming, the twill ribbon and taking the Copic BG15 and C4 I drew 3 lines along the ribbon, assembling onto the card stock. Punching circles out of white and aqua mist card stock, taking more of the aqua mist card stock, running through the cuttlebug and die cutting a flower from the beautiful blooms die set, stamping the Mehndi stamp that was inked with aqua mist ink over the bloom and the circle punched card stock. Adhering all of these pieces together onto the Kraft card stock and adding a sentiment at the base of the card stock from the Through the Trees stamp set. Finally, adhering this to a trimmed white card and adding a scattering of rhinestones to complete.

This was my very first go at using copics on ribbon to make your own custom look and I have to say it was quite fun, I think I need a lot more practice to get the right look, but as a first time go, was pretty happy.

Okay, I am off now to get some much needed work done! I hope you all have a wonderful crafty day and as always thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my little blog and leave wonderful comments, you are the best...

Hugs
