Tim Holtz Meets Hero Arts!

Hi Everyone! Rainy Monday here today, but for me they are my favourite days, today I am super pleased as I have managed to get the house in order once again, so that means a free week to craft...YAY!

New goodies arrived in the house today, so I ventured into the craft room tonight and had a little play around, and that was literally what I did, I had no plan as to what I was going to create and before I knew it this is what I had created....Using lots of Tim Holtz and Hero Arts goodies...

I took a piece of white card stock, trimmed it to size and took the Hero Arts, Time to Stamp and inked it with some Distress Stains, Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint, heat set and applied distress inks, Antique Linen, Pumice Stone and Black Soot. Next, I stamped the Tim Holtz, Speckled stamp that was inked with grey ink several times over the stamped background. I added some Tissue Tape, Symphony down one side of the card stock and added more of the speckled stamping, this time inked with black ink, to make the edges more distressed, I added paint, using Paint Dabbers, Snow Cap, Mushroom and Pitch Black. Shifting to my Silhouette I cut a digital die cut from the Hero Arts, Wish you Were here and stamped the corresponding stamp over the top, adhering this to the card stock with foam dimensionals. To complete the card I added a sentiment from the same stamp set to a trimmed tag, adding brads that I gave texture to with the Tim Holtz texture Hammer, finally, adhering this to a trimmed grey card.

Here is a close up of the card...

I truly had a lot of fun tonight playing with all of these products, especially the Distress Stains....I hope this bit of enabling has helped you to make that decision to purchase, as they are fun...

Alright, I am off to watch a Catherine Cookson movie now, but before I leave you there is still time to enter my Giveaway, to check out how, you can view HERE.

Have a wonderful night!

Hugs

Awesome creation, Joy! I love it when my tinkering turns out great. Lately that's not been happening...I'm a bit discouraged. But your cards are so inspiring, now I think I will try distressing something...oh the dog just walked by maybe he will sit still...hahaha just joking!

I just love the old feel to this card! Beautiful background! And I like how you used the tape, I keep picking it up at the store and then putting it back because I never know how I am going to use it! Thanks for the inspiration Joy!

This is gorgeous Joy. Saw this in our HA Flicker group and was in awe over how you used this stamp set then also! Your way of making stamps come to life in various ways and techinques blows me away everytime I see one of your creations. Wow. Just wanted to say belated congrats on being asked to be on Simon Says Design Team. So proud of you and happy for you right now. Hugs.
