Monday Madness!

Well it is Monday again and what a day...busy, busy, busy at work and I am ever so pleased to be home and sharing a cuppa with you all as I type up this post...I do hope that your day was less hectic as mine and that you are now having some much needed sit down and relax time.

So I am going to be game and share a card that almost made it into the garbage bin...LOL, but thought what the heck, might as well share it with you...

I took text paper and the My Favourite Things, Simply Scallops die, running through my Cuttlebug, cutting several layers of text paper, adhering this to an Iris folded note card. I added some lace and twine to the edge of the text paper and set this aside to work on the rest of the card. Taking a butterfly from the Antique Engravings stamp set and stamping onto white card stock, colouring the butterfly in with my Prisma Color Pencils and trimming out, adhering to a punched circle that had a light layer of distress ink, Antique Linen over the top. Taking the card once again, I adhered the circle with the butterfly on it to the card and to complete the card I stamped a sentiment from the Made with Love stamp set.

Here is a closer look of the card...

So there you have it the card that nearly entered the bin...I do hope you find something from the card to like....

Have a wonderful night everyone, stay tuned this week for more exciting news...it is going to be a fun week!!

Hugs

i think your card is really lovely - great colors on the whole card - my favorite butterfly - way too pretty to put in the bin! maybe you didn't like it because it had a little more "stuff" on it than most of your cards.

Eep!! I can't believe this almost went into the bin!! I'd be delighted to have this card instead! :) You should make it some blog candy. I'm sure plenty of people would love to have it! I love those text-y scallops and your coloring on the butterfly is wonderful! That lace and twine is just PERFECT! I should CASE this card just to spite your garbage bin...

It's too pretty to throw away! It's better than some of the cards I make...can't believe that you wanted to throw it away! Tell us what you thought was wrong with it, please?

Joy, I love the colours you have used. The colouring on the butterfly is absolutely gorgeous. I am glad the card didn't end up in the rubbish. Often we are too critical of our own work. Fresh and new eyes always give a different slant to your creations. Have a great day.
