Embossing on Pattern Paper!

Hi Everyone and welcome to another creation for Jay Gee's Nook...Sunday seems to roll around so quickly these days, I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend and that you make the most of your Sunday.

So today I wanted to share a card with you all that I created using a technique that Jennifer McGuire has used in the past and that is to emboss an image on pattern paper.

I took the stamp Flower Bird Garden from Hero arts and some patterned paper from Basic Grey, inked the stamped up with Versamark Ink and stamped onto the paper, embossing it with clear embossing powder. Next, I added colour by colouring the images that were not embossed with Memento Markers, once coloured in, I trimmed around the image and adhered to some green card stock. I then took an Eggshell note card from Hero Arts and stamped the front of the card using the Envelope Pattern inked with Sahara Sand ink. I adhered the stamped image to the card using foam dimensionals and finally adding a sentiment to the base of the card from the Beautiful Peacocks stamp set.

Here is a closer look at the card.
