Betsy Bluebell - Birthday!

Hi everyone! Monday yet again and what a day, do you ever have one of those nights where you wake up in the early hours of the morning and then keep waking up every hour beyond that until the alarm goes off?? Well, yes that was the night that I had last night, so hence it was a long long day...so it will be an early night here tonight.

I do hope that you all had a great weekend, I managed to do NO house work and crafted to my hearts content...although I have to say between you and I the house is really looking worse for it today..LOL, I gather after tomorrow's day at work, the little cottage house may need some attention...

Today, I want to share a card using the Betsy Bluebell stamp set from Penny Black...this stamp set is uber cute and I loved colouring the sweet little Betsy with Balloons in..



Stamping her onto white card stock, colouring her in and once happy with the colouring, I re stamped her again onto a scrap piece of paper, trimming around this, using this as a mask to add blending of a sky with blue ink. Trimmed more white card stock to matt the stamped image onto, then trimmed a purple coloured card stock to form a card. Taking the Starry Sky stamp, inking it with Lavender Moon ink from Papertrey ink and stamping over the front of the card. Adhering the Betsy Bluebell to the front of the card and finally adding a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Big Hugs stamp set to complete.

I think it is always so nice to pull out a stamp set you have had for awhile and ink it up...makes me feel as if I just received new products...
