Acetate Card Attempt 2!

Hi everyone! Hoping your Thursday has been great...I spent the day out today, got my haircut and did a little shopping...sometimes I think we all need a little therapeutic day every now and then.

So the title of my post today says Acetate Card Attempt 2, which is right, at Christmas time last year I created my first acetate card and I really struggled to pull it together, I really thought that I would never create one of these cards again, but alas, here I have and I have to say that it came together relatively quick.

To create the card I took white card stock and inked up the In the Garden stamp from Hero Arts with Pearl Paint Dabber, allowing it time to dry and applying distress ink, Shabby Shutters, Victorian Velvet and Milled Lavender, I trimmed around the image and adhered to a piece of grey card stock. I then took an acetate card and the Flourish Background stamp also from Hero Arts, inked it up with Stazon White ink and stamped over the front of the card. I adhered the image to the front of the card and trimmed 3 pieces of white card stock, the same size as the image, adhering one on the inside of the card to cover the adhesive, one to the inside where a message was to be written, stamping a sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp stamp set, then finally adhering one on the backside of the card to cover adhesive from the inside card stock.

Here is a close up of the inside of the card.

I hope these give you a few giggles and a few Awwww's!!

Have a great night and I will be back tomorrow to share another creation with you all...

Joy, your card is beautiful! I've always been so very intimidated by acetate but may give a try one day! I love how you colored the image-really gives a vintagey look. Love that sentiment too:)

Wow, acetate scares me, but if I could pull something like this off it'd be my new best friend.
