Before I jump into today's card, how have you all enjoyed or enjoying the excitement of the new release of stamps at Purple Onion Designs...they are just so yummy...I will have more eye candy this week on the old blog and you can always go to the POD blog and see many more creations of the DT members...so many beautiful creations.
So the other night after work, I sat down with my cup of tea and whilst drinking away (and also snacking on a Cherry Ripe..but ssssh, that is between you and I, he, he) I was blog surfing and catching up on the days events that had been happening and realised my sweet friend Shari had created a wonderful video tutorial of how to colour with Prismacolor Pencils....after seeing her amazing work and lifting my chin back up off the floor I decided I could not contain my enthusiasm and so I quickly gulped down the last of my tea and headed for the craft room to create using my Prismacolour Pencils.
Here is what I created.

Prismacolor pencils in hand and one of the butterfly stamps from the Hero Arts, Butterflies stamp set, I stamped onto white card stock and began to colour, once I was happy with the blending I trimmed the image out and set aside...I took a snow card, Friend Definition stamp and Soft Sand ink, stamped directly over the top of the note card (and yes as an added feature I stamped the image onto the card sideways)...I restamped the butterfly on the front of the card and adhered the coloured version on top using foam dimensionals adding a stamped trail behind the butterfly using the stamp from the Be Happy stamp set. Stamping a thank you sentiment from the Thank You Sayings stamp set and finishing the card by adding rhinestones and corner rounding the corners of the card.
Here is a close up of the butterfly.

I cannot wait to grab my Prismacolor pencils again and create more....
To view Shari's video and gorgeous creation...you can view it HERE.
Alright, must head off now as there is lots to be done...
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Hugs
