1950's

Hello Everyone and happy Sunday to you all!  sorry about not being around yesterday, as you all know there has been some designing in the house with new POD stamps, I hope you all enjoyed the sneak peeks and that you all come back here on Tuesday to start to see the unveiling....I also mentioned the other day that I will be starting a new feature on the blog, at present I have a couple of hiccups with this new feature, but I am hoping to have them all ironed out and start sharing next week..thanks for your patience.

So today as we know is Sunday and if you are a follower of my blog you will know that on Sunday's I share a card created for Jay Gee's Nook, today is the start of the new Challenge and this I am super excited, such a great inspiration photo, so many possibilities with this challenge, I hope you can all find a little time to enter...head on over to the blog and check out the details and to see what the other DT members have created....

Here is my card I created for the challenge, I hope it gives you some inspiration to get started on creating that card.

I took Kraft card stock and trimmed to size, stamping the Make Your Own stamp from Hero Arts onto the Kraft card stock and sewing around the edge, adhering this to some October Afternoon patterned paper using foam dimensionals.  Using the same stamp and more October Afternoon patterned paper I stamp the image again on each paper and trimmed the dresses of the ladies out, adhering to each on the Kraft card stock.  Stamping a sentiment under the Kraft card stock from the Big Hugs stamp set from Hero Arts, next, adding some matching buttons and finally, adhering to a trimmed white card.

I love that stamp from Hero Arts and I am so pleased that I was able to grab it out of my collection once again and play with it..

Well I do hope that you can all find a little time to enter the new challenge, as always there is a great prize for the winner..

Have a very crafty day everyone, I know that is what I am off to do today.

Hugs

Love this card! Those dresses so remind me of the dresses my mom used to wear when I was little. What a great nod to the 50's, Joy.
