Sewing!

Hey friends! I have like possibly so many of us, stamps in my craft room that have not seen ink...so many new things come of the market that sometime we forget to use some of the old ones we have..and that is what I have done today..bring some of these stamps that I have longed to play with for so long.

I took some Kraft card stock, Stitch and Trim stamp and Latte ink, inking the stamp up and stamping twice and stamping over the card stock, trimming card stock to size and adding a sewing border around the card stock. Next, taking the stamp set Sew Artsy and patterned paper from My Minds Eye, stamping the dress form onto the patterned paper and then onto the Kraft card stock, adhering the patterned paper to the dress form on the card stock. I then stamped a sentiment above the dress form from the Made With Love stamp set, adding some matching buttons to the opposite side of the dress form, placing twine through the holes on the two smaller buttons and then ribbon through the larger one. Lastly, adhering the card stock to more My Minds Eye patterned paper and then onto a trimmed cream card using foam dimensionals.

I love these sets of stamps and am so pleased that I pulled them out of my stash and got them inky and had fun, I urge you to all do the same, give those stamps that have been sitting there starring at you some love.

Now, before I leave you today, I wanted to thank all the girls that left me wonderful asparagus recipes..I cannot wait to try some of these out..

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday, may it be filled with lots of smiles.

Hugs

Joy, this is such a thoughtful card! I love that dress form stamp paired with that background! What company makes that sentiment? Is that HA?

That, is a beautiful creation Joy! You are right, we should motivate ourselves to ink up unused stamps or give them as Giveaways! Seems sill to just hold onto things.

Such a pretty card and I couldn't agree more. I find taking part in challenges helps me to use old stamps and use them in different ways too x

Really adorable card! Love the papers, and the dress form. Really cute scissors and cutting line. My first born dd teaches Junior High Family & Consumer Science (otherwise known as Home Ec.) and the sewing unit is her favorite. I need to find those stamps as she would love a card like this!

Such a cute card ;) I'm sold on anything sewing themed, and you've totally reminded me that I need to get my sewing stamps inky again!!
Off to check out those asparagus ideas.... Yum! One of my fave ideas is to marinade it for a couple hours in a plastic bag with plenty of olive oil, garlic and fresh tarragon, then wrap it - not too tight - in a foil bundle and set it on the barbecue. Turn the bundle a couple of times so the different sides of the parcel get 'grilled' as well as steamed, then enjoy! Always a winner at our summer parties.
