Day 4 of Honouring!

Hey friends! today brings us to day 4 of my honouring to some on my favourite stampers and card makers, today I wish to share someone that is not only talented, amazing artist, but also a fantastic blog writer...she is sweet, kind and truly kind hearted..and that person is non other then Dawn McVey!

I love how Dawn shares some of her life with us all in her blog posts, makes you feel as though you are sharing the experience with her...I love to visit her blog on a daily basis to see what she has been up to and to see what amazing creation she has created.

I love the bold, bright colours Dawn uses and her style is always so dreamy to view. I wish I could sit next to her in her craft room and just let my jaw drop in ore of how she creates..I am sure this would be the most wonderful experience..Oh to dream..LOL.

Here is the card that has inspired me to create my very own to honour her today.

Love all the layers that she has placed on her card to create something that is simply superb and elegant.

Here is the card that I created.

I took Spring Rain card stock and Mat Stack 1 die, running through my Cuttlebug, taking one of the corresponding stamps, I inked it up and stamped over the die cut. Next, taking some Vintage Cream felt and the Beautiful Blooms 2 die, cutting a large and small flower out of the felt. Taking some white card stock, punching a circle out and taking one of the stamps from the Simply Stationary stamp set, stamping with dark brown ink over the circle, adhering each of the pieces together and onto the Mat Stack, adding a button with twine through it to the centre of the last flower. Trimming more white card stock and stamping a sentiment from the same stamp set adhering this strip to a trimmed Spring Rain card, finally, adhering the mat stack to a doily and then to the front of the card, along with 2 buttons either side of the sentiment.

So I urge you all to pop on over to Dawn's blog, there is so much inspiration and pure yumminess to see.

Enjoy viewing the cards and make sure to check in tomorrow for the next person to honour...and don't forget we are coming to the end of the honouring and there will be more fun to be had for all of you.

Hugs
