Not much happening in the craft room due to this, but I did manage to do a video share and create a quick card. I received an email from Tami, saying that sad news had happen over the weekend, that being the passing of a wonderful man, Mike. My heart goes out to his family and to all his wonderful friends, including the team of Hero Arts.
As you would know from my previous post, I had created a card for Mike and unfortunately he will not be able to view this, but I will still send it onto his family, along with the card that I have made tonight, ready to be shipped out to head for the US.
I also found inspiration from the catalogue, although the card that I saw on page 13, was a friend inspired card, I decided to make this into a sympathy card.

I took a Lilac note card and Earth Flowers stamp set, stamping one of the stamps from the set across the card and embossing with white embossing powder. I trimmed some Celadon paper and stamped the Envelope Pattern background stamp that was inked with Soft Green ink, adhering this to the bottom of the card. Trimming white card stock and stamping a sentiment from the With Sympathy stamp set, I then adhered this over part of the Celadon card paper. I punched a butterfly from the same Celadon paper and adhered with Glossy Accents, lastly, adding purple rhinestones either side of the sentiment and to the middle of the butterfly. I wanted to add a little extra to the card so, I took another sentiment and stamped the inside of the card, also stamping one of the flowers that came with the With Sympathy stamp set that was inked with Soft Lilac ink slightly over the sentiment.
Here is the inside of the card.

I know that a lot of us from the Flickr group have created cards or are in the process of sending cards to Hero Arts, that then will be sent onto his family, my hope that these cards bring Mike's family some source of comfort.
Okay so now onto something that you can view, sharing some of the goodies that I have brought with some left over birthday money as well as some of the Christmas money that I received.
Well I hope that you have enjoyed viewing the card and also the video, I will hopefully be back to full swing and crafting once again.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!
Hugs

Beautiful card! Take care!
Beautiful, elegant card, and I enjoyed the haul video so much! It's funny- I think you bought all of the stamps that I didn't buy and we probably have a complete collection between the two of us now. Hehe. With Sympathy and the chairs set are very high on my list, though. Love them! Thanks for sharing. :)
Glad to hear you are on the baker's list again Joy! I really love your card - 'simply' gorgeous. White embossing, to my mind equals understated & elegant.
