Antique Butterfly Collage!

Hey Readers! Today brings me to sharing a Purple Onion Designs card, I was really happy with how this card turned out and thought it was time to share it with you guys.



Using a Spellbinder Circle die, I cut a circle out of white card stock and taking some of the stamps from the Vintage Postcard stamp set and the Late 1800's Background stamp, inking each up with black ink and stamping in various sections of the circle to give a collage effect. Taking distress inks, antique linen and broken china, blending over the circle to tone down the white card stock. Next, taking more white card stock, I stamped a butterfly from the Vintage Butterfly stamp set, colouring the butterfly in with my Copics, then adhering to the circle using Glossy Accents. Taking blue card stock, trimming it to form a card, adhering the circle to the card using foam dimensionals. Lastly, trimming white card stock and stamping a Happy Birthday sentiment, adding rhinestones either side of the sentiment and adhering the the bottom of the card, also adding rhinestones to the centre of the butterfly as well.

I love that the use of these Purple Onion Designs stamps, they stamp up so beautifully and are fantastic to make collage effects amongst others.
