Vintage Christmas Tickets!

Hi Everyone! After much needed sleep and still needing a little bit more, I feel like I am getting back to my normal self again and not the scary person I turned into yesterday...LOL.

As I write this post, I am sitting by the french doors in our lounge room watching the rain fall and although it is lovely to see, we are currently in the middle of Harvest and now with the rain on top, this will down grade what was to be a bumper year on the farm. I suppose that is Mother Nature for you and we cannot control that.

Okay, sorry drifting, lets get down to the card that I created for Purple Onion Designs, what with another favourite stamp set of mine.

Christmas Noteblock

Taking white card stock and stamping the ticket design onto the card stock using distress ink, vintage photo, and then stamping the words inside that was inked with distress ink, fired brick, I also applied more vintage photo over the top of the ticket designs and trimmed each one out, setting these aside. Next, trimming Kraft card stock to form a card and taking the Late 1800's Script Background stamp that was inked with Colorbox Ink, Frost White I stamped over the entire front of the card adding a light dusting around the edges of the card to soften and set aside to dry. Taking more white card stock, I trimmed it to the size I was after and then stitched around the edge of the card stock using my sewing machine. I trimmed a red piece of card stock slightly bigger then the one that I had stitched around and adhered both of these pieces together. I took the tickets and adhered this to the stitched white card stock using foam dimensionals and then using more foam dimensionals I attached this to the front of the card. Lastly, adding red and white twine to the bottom of the card to finish.

I hope you enjoy viewing the card and I look forward to be back here tomorrow to share more with you.

Have a great day!

Christmas Stockings!

Hi Everyone! It has been a very long day today and to tell you the truth not such a great day, in fact quite a lousy one. But what could be better then to come home to find wonderful sweet comments from you all, thank you so much for always cheering my day.

Today I wanted to share another Christmas card that I designed for Purple Onion Designs, love this new stamp set.

Christmas Stockings

I took the stocking stamps and stamped several onto white card stock, colouring them in with my Copic and trimmed out each one. Taking more white card stock and the Vintage Snowflakes, I inked the stamp up with some distress ink, antique linen and stamped over the entire white card stock, I added more ink to the edges of the card stock. Once I was happy with the over all look I added a stitching line around the edge of the card stock. I then attached the stockings to the card stock using foam dimensionals and stamped a sentiment from the Handwritten Holiday stamp set, adding rhinestones to either side of the sentiment. I adhered the card stock to a trimmed white card to finish.

Enjoy viewing the card, to see more of these cards being created, make sure you pop on over to the blog and also the the website to see many more new lines of stamps, right now they are having a 25% off sale, so it is so worth a look.

Make sure to check in this week around my blog as there is some fun projects that will be happening.

Have a great night!

Jay Gee's Nook Challenge 2#

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting this card today, I have been at work all day and to tell you the truth I am completely pooped. I am really ready for bed, but before I depart for the evening I am posting a card that I designed for Jay Gee's Nook Challenge 2.

Us DT team were given another beautiful image to be inspired by to create a card and we hope that our creations along with this truly beautiful photography gives you inspiration to create a card to enter the challenge, here is what we drew inspiration from:

100_5050

I do apologise for the photo, it certainly is not my best shot.

My eyes drew directly to the lace doily on the wrapping and I knew straight away that I wanted to use a Martha Stewart doily, which I stamped a PTI, Holiday Tags 2010 stamp that was inked with red ink and stamped onto some scratch white card stock. Once this was dry, I used a circle punch and punched out the stamped image and adhered this to the doily using foam dimesionals. Next, trimming some Kraft card stock to form a card, I took the Hero Arts, Large Plaid stamp and inked it up with some Colorbox Ink, Frost White stamping over the entire front of the card. When the ink had dried, I took some Japanese Masking Tape and ran 2 strips of the tape down the centre of the card, in the middle of the 2 strips of Japanese Masking Tape, I tied a piece of red and white twine. Lastly, adhering the doily to the top of the card using more foam dimensionals.

Don't forget to pop on over to the blog to check out what Judith and Ange have gotten up to with creating their cards and also check out the surprise guest designer, I know that you will find plenty of inspiration.

Before I leave you tonight, I wish to make a correction in what I posted about my little present that I received from Nancy, I had meant to add that all of us wonderful hostesses had been given this truly beautiful little gift and in my haste to post last night I had missed stating this in my posting. So sorry to my other Hostess Sisters, please forgive me, call it a lack of sleep.

Enjoy viewing the card and I hope that this and the other DT cards give you some wonderful inspiration to participate in this challenge.

I am off to check out the other DT work and maybe see what I will be putting on my wish list as there are so many goodies in the shop and at fantastic prices, so be sure to check that out to.

Trying a Jennifer McGuire Technique!

Hi! Thought tonight that I would share a card that I created from one of the techniques that Jennifer McGuire used in the Thinking Inking class, I loved the card so much I almost replicated it, so this is dedicated to my dear friend Jennifer.

100_5029

I took Kraft card stock and trimmed it to form a card, next, taking the Hero Arts, Old Letter Writing, I inked it up with some distress ink, vintage photo and stamped over the entire front of the card, adding more touches of vintage photo to the edges of the card and setting aside. Taking a piece of white card stock and the Hero Arts, Floral Brocade stamp, I took a pearl, paint dabber and applied the paint over the entire stamp, once enough coverage I stamped over the white card stock, setting aside until dry. Once the paint had time to dry, I took distress ink, rusty hinge, tumbled glass and peeled paint and applied heavily over the image, making sure to apply and blend the inks together. When I was happy with how the inks look, I then stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Get Merry stamp set making sure to ink the stamp with Archival Jet Black Ink. I added a tree to one side of the painted card stock, I used some Basic Grey patterned paper and the tree from the Hero Arts, Merry Christmas Tree stamp set, this was inked with distress ink, peeled paint, applying more ink over the top of the paper once stamped. I adhered the tree to the painted card stock with foam dimensionals, adding a piece of twine to the base of the tree and pearls. I trimmed small pieces of brown card stock and adhered all the pieces to the front of the card along with some lace trim that I aged using distress ink, antique linen. Lastly, adding a few more pearls to the bottom of the sentiment.

I had a lot of fun using this technique and I thank Jennifer so much for show casing the wonderful Thinking Inking once again, I hope as we all do to see more of this in the future.

Before I leave you tonight I wish to share a sweet little gift that arrived in my mailbox the other day from my very sweet Hostess Sister, Nancy. Isn't she just the greatest, what a beautiful little memento to keep and look at to remind me of how much fun I had being a hostess. Thank you so much my wonderful friend you are the best, I will treasure this forever.

Well I am off to relax, the next couple of days are going to be just huge at work.

Toy Soldier!

Hi Everyone! How has your day been today? Mine did not start off to a great start, what with finding another leek in our roof, but hopefully all fixed now, big sigh!

Today, I thought that I would share another Purple Onion Designs card for you, using some of the new stamps. I figured that this would be appropriate as Michele is kicking off the big sale as we speak.

Toy Soldier

I took the Toy Soldier and stamped it onto some white card stock, coloured him in with my Copics, adding highlights of Gold Spica and then cut the image out. Taking more white card stock and the Spellbinders, Label 8, I ran it through my Cuttlebug and cut the die. I then inked up the Early 1900's Music Background stamp with distress ink, antique linen and also applied more of the ink over the die cut as well as vintage photo to soften the look of the die cut. Whilst the Label 8 die was still out I took some Basic Grey patterned paper and cut another piece to cover a small section of the stamped die cut, I toned it down, by blending some vintage photo to the edges and adhered this to the bottom and added some twine. Next, I adhered the Toy Soldier to the die cut using foam dimensionals and added a sentiment from a set that the lovely and talented Jennifer Holmes designed with Michele. Lastly, I added rhinestones to the toy soldier and attached the die cut to a trim red card.

A super fun card to make and I cannot wait to share more cards that I have designed with these wonderful new stamps.

Don't forget that the sale starts really soon and that there is also a special surprise happening as well, so make sure you check it out.

Well I am off to do a bit more crafting and relaxing as I will be heading back to work tomorrow and boy the next 3 days will be really huge for me, so when I reach next weekend, I may need CPR!

Enjoy your night!

Vintage Christmas!

Hi Everyone! I hope you have all enjoyed your day and that possibly you have had time to be a little crafty or at least relax. I have been busy with my Mum today, computer work and have now just left the craft room and thought it was time to blog again.

I have chosen a Purple Onion Designs card for you today and what a fitting way to share this because as of Friday, 26th November til the 10th of December, Purple Onion Designs will be having a Holiday Sale, 25% of all stamps including the new Christmas stamps and I have to tell you those new stamps along with the older ones are truly yummy, so pop over to the blog and check out all the details. There is also another surprise happening on Friday, don't forget to check it out.

Vintage Christmas

I wanted a vintage feel to this Christmas card, so trimming some text paper, I inked the sides of the paper with distress ink, antique linen and vintage photo then made a stitching line around the edge, adhering this to a white card that was trimmed to size. Taking more white card stock I cut a die cut out and stamped over the top using the Early 1900's Music Background that was inked with distress ink, barn door, blending to soften using distress ink, antique linen. Next, taking red card stock I stamped a Vintage Snowflake that was inked with Colorbox Ink, frost white and punched it out using a circle punch, adding white gel pen stitching around the edge. I then adhered a Jenni Bowlin vintage button that had a bow of twine put through the holes in the button. I adhered the circle to the die cut using foam dimensionals and using more foam dimensionals onto the die cut that was adhered to the text paper. I cut a strip of red and white card stock, that was attached to the base of the card with a sentiment stamped onto this to finish the card.

Enjoy viewing the card and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your night or day.

Don't forget.

To those celebrating Thanksgiving, may you all enjoy your day with your loved ones and have a day to remember always.

Guest Designer for Random Act of Cardness!

Hi Everyone! I have exciting news to share with you today, that being another Guest Designer day. I was contacted a few weeks ago by the lovely, sweet and talented Jennifer from Random Act of Cardness. Jennifer, has a wonderful blog, which you can check out HERE and the sweetest little shop attached to it, selling all wonderful products which you can view HERE.

Jennifer asked me to create, share some answers to the questions that she had written and also share some of my work, well me being me, could not resist. To view the blog post go HERE.

100_4929

Creating the card that I made for her was truly fun, I took white card stock and using the Hero Arts, Magical Background stamp, I inked it up with some distress ink, Antique Linen, stamping over the entire card stock. Taking more antique linen distress in and also vintage photo, I applied over the stamped image to give more depth. Next, sewing around the edges of the card stock and set aside. I then took the Hero Arts, Merry Christmas Trees (which between you and me, I did not think that I would like this set as much as the other Christmas stamps, but I tell a fib, I love them and they happen to be my favourite set this year) I stamped each one of the trees onto more white card stock, inked with Versamark Ink and then embossing the trees with white embossing powder, I applied colour to the trees using distress ink, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage with touches of Vintage Photo to make them pop. I cut each of the trees out and adhered each of them to the magical background card stock using foam dimensionals, also adding rhinestones and pearls to match the trees. I stamped a sentiment from the same Merry Christmas Trees stamp set and adhered the card stock to a trimmed white card.

A super fun card with lots of techniques involved in the creating process, in fact it was so much fun I created another card very similar to give to someone this year.

Make sure you pop on over to Random Act of Cardness and do leave some comments, I know that Jennifer would really appreciate it.

Well I am off to get some lunch and maybe a little tiny bit more of crafting in before heading to work.

Hugs to you all!

Christmas Inchies!

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, I am at the end of my mini break and will be back to work tomorrow, it is always sad when your breaks end.

Today, I wish to share a card that I designed for Jay Gee's Nook, showcasing the use of inchies. At first I was kind of scared off with these little things and they were always being pushed to the back of my crafting stash. But after surfing the net last night I stumbled across a wonderful blog and it truly inspired me to get these blank little canvas things out and create something with them.

100_5033

I took SEI, Wintersong patterned paper and cut six little squares out, applying distress ink, Vintage Photo to each of the squares. Next, adhering each of the patterned paper squares to the white inchies, sanding each one back to form a nice edge, once the glue had dried, I applied more vintage photo distress ink. I took stamps from Papertrey Ink, 2010 Holiday Tags and also Big bold Holiday Wishes, I added the postmark stamp directly to the inchies using black ink and also stamped sentiments onto white card stock, cutting parts of the sentiment out and adding more vintage photo distress ink. I adhered the inchies to a white card stock that was trimmed to form a card, then adhered each of the words and also adding some red rhinestones. Lastly, I added some twine to the base of the card to finish.

Here is a close up view of the card.

100_5035

I hope that this gives you some inspiration to buy some inchies and create something beautiful.

Don't forget to pop of to Jay Gee's Nook blog and check out what Ange and Judith have been up to as well.

Have a nice rest of the weekend.

I look forward to bringing you some more projects through the week.

Willard!

Hi Everyone! I have had a mini break, in which I am loving and hoping to get more crafting done today after what we all call the dreaded cleaning of the house, but before I get started, I wanted to share a card that I created for Purple Onion Designs, using the super sweet Willard stamp.

Christmas Willard

Using white card stock, I stamped the image of Willard Hanging Lights and coloured him in with my Copics, once happy with how he was coloured in, I trimmed around the image and set aside. Next, taking some Basic Grey patterned paper, I stamped Willard once again and also stamped the Vintage Snowflake stamp that was inked with distress ink, Antique Linen, then blending over the patterned paper with more Antique Linen and also light touches of distress ink, Vintage Photo. I took the cut out image of Willard and added foam dimensionals to the back, then adhered it to the image that was stamped on the patterned paper, colouring also the little lights on the patterned paper. Lastly, I added a sentiment to the top and adhered this to the front of the card using more foam dimensionals.

I love this image of Willard and I am now thinking of getting the other Willard that is in the collection.

Before I leave today I wanted to share some eye candy that I have found whilst surfing the net:

I so want to make THIS.

Love Nichol's super sweet creations.

Great money holder, from Sarah.

Seeing THIS has made me want to scrapbook even more.

Love THIS elegant Christmas card.

Look at THIS, THIS, THIS and THIS, that has arrived at Jay Gee's Nook.

Lastly, Cannot wait to get my hands on THIS.

Just one more thing that I wish to share with you, I went out this morning and took some photos of the old roses that are around my garden and that only flower once a year, the light pink one, goes across our old shed and is quite big and beautiful (PS. don't mind the unmowed lawns in background, they are getting done as we speak..LOL).

O'Christmas Tree!

Hi! Sharing a card with you today featuring one of my favourite Purple Onion Designs Christmas stamps. If you know me you know that I love to colour, usually with my Copics, but this time I decided to try my Prisma Color Pencils again and have to say that I had a lot of fun using them.

Swirly Tree

I took Kraft card stock that was trimmed to form a card and the Swirly Tree stamp, I inked it up with some Memento Black Ink and stamped onto the front of the card. Next, colouring the tree in with my Prisma Color Pencils, once I was happy with how I coloured the tree in, I added Glossy Accents to the baubles on the tree. I then added a sentiment under the tree and using my white gel pen I drew lines around the image to form a frame.

A super quick and easy card to make and in fact I think I will be making several of these ready for Christmas.

I hope that this card today gives you inspiration to give a one layered card a go.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Snowy Scene!

Hi! Back again to share another Christmas card with you, I decided to create a little scene on my card.

100_4958

I took white card stock, that was trimmed to form a card, I then took the Hero Arts, Canvas Stripe stamp and inked it with some Hero Arts, Punch ink and stamped along the bottom of the card front. I trimmed a small piece of red and white card stock and adhered this to the top of the stamped section, adding a piece of red and white twine to the white card stock. Next, taking the stamp from the Hero Arts, Holiday Cheer, I stamped the sentiment over the canvas stripe. Staying with the same stamp set, I took one of the houses from this set and stamped onto some white card stock and coloured the image in with my Copics, once coloured in I cut the image out and set it aside. Taking more white card stock, I tore along one side making the card stock feel like it was small little snow peaks, I adhered this to the top of the red and white card stock, then added lots of glue and glitter, I also added some glitter to the house as well. Still using the same stamp set, I took the pine tree and inked it up with Hero Arts, Soft Leaf ink and stamped trees above the glittered section, adding light touches of extra green by using my Copics. I then took the house and adhered this to the card using foam dimensionals and lastly, added some blending of distress Ink, Tumbled Glass to the top of the card to form the sky line.

A super fun card to make with lots of different features to view.

I hope you enjoy viewing the card today and I will be back tomorrow with another.

Have a great day!

First Acetate Card!

Hi Everyone! Today I wish to share with you my very first go at an acetate card, I wanted to make a card for the Thinking Inking classes that the wonderful Jennifer McGuire is running over at Two Peas in a Bucket.

100_4953

Taking acetate I trimmed it to size and scored through the centre to form the card, then taking the Hero Arts, Magical Background stamp, I inked it up with some Stazon, Cotton White ink and stamped over the front of the card. Next, trimmed some paper from the Basic Grey, Capella 6 x 6 paper pad and adhered to the front of the card, along with some trimmed pieces of blue card stock. Taking white card stock I trimmed it slightly smaller the the patterned paper and stamping the sentiment from the Hero Arts, Enjoy the Seasons onto the card stock, adhering this to the front of the card also. Taking more acetate I stamped one of the snowflakes that was in the same stamp set with some Stazon, Black ink, adding a Basic Grey brad through the centre and adhering it to the white card stock using Glossy Accents, also adding buttons for added interest. I felt that after adhering all the pieces onto the acetate card that it needed a little more stamping, so I added a stamped border from the Hero Arts, Sew Artsy, on the lower part of the patterned paper. Finishing the card by covering the views of adhesive on either sides of the acetate with more Basic Grey patterned paper and white card stock.

I hope that this card inspires you to have a go at creating your own acetate cards.

Before I go, I just wanted to let you all know that I thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to view, read and leave wonderful comments on my blog, you are all the best, so thank you so much.

Have a great night.

Lawn Fawn Goodness!

Hi Everyone! so after some much needed sleep and a cooling of the weather overnight, I am pleased to say that it is a much better day today..LOL.

Today I am sharing the DT card for Jay Gee's Nook, using more Lawn Fawn stamps.

100_4957

Taking Kraft card stock and running a piece through my Cuttlebug, cutting it with a Spellbinders die, Circle. Then taking the Lawn Fawn, Frosties stamp set, I placed the snowflakes onto my Fiskars, Stamp press and inked them up with Colorbox Ink, Frost White, stamping over the entire circle, also adding a dusting of the same ink around the edges, setting this aside to dry. Next, taking Lawn Fawn, Bows and Holly stamp set and some Basic Grey, Wassil patterned paper, I stamped the present stamp onto the paper and cut out, adding more colour to the bow, by colouring it with my Copic and adding some glossy accents to the bow to give it shine, then attached it to the kraft circle using foam dimensionals. I trimmed some white card stock to form a tag and stamped the sentiment Merry Christmas from the same Bows and Holly stamp set, adding a red rhinestone to either end of the sentiment and to the centre of the bow, then adhered the tag to the circle. Lastly, trimming red card stock to form a card and running the front of the card through my Cuttlebug, embossing it with the Cuttlebug, Snowflake embossing folder, then adhering the circle to the card using more foam dimensionals.

Christmas Shine!

Hi Everyone! So I am going to take a little moment to complain here...LOL, it has been one heck of a day, what with work being hectic and to top it off it has been really, really hot with 100% humidity to boot, so all in all a pretty yucky day. Ahhh! Thanks for that I now feel better for the little rant...LOL. Now onto tonight's posting..LOL.

If you have had a chance to visit Two Peas in a Bucket today and went to the Two Peas Events section you would see that there is another event running called Holiday Card Making Weekends. I was asked by the wonderful, lovely and naturally talented Jen Gallacher a few weeks ago whether I would like to participate, making a card that was a holiday card with shine on it. To be honest I was totally blown away and honoured the first time I was asked to be a guest blogger over there, that this time I was even more so honoured and flattered to be asked once again to be featured, but jumped at the chance to make a card.

100_4825

I trimmed white card stock to size to form a card and using more white card stock, I ran a piece through my Cuttlebug, cutting a circle die cut using the Spellbinders, Circle Die. Next, stamping the Hero Arts, Magical Background stamp that was inked with distress ink, Tumbled Glass to the die cut, adding more ink around the edges of the circle, I then adhered this to the card, cutting away some of the circle. Taking more white card stock, I stamped one of the houses from the Hero Arts, Sending Holiday Cheer stamp set and coloured the little house in with Copics, cutting the house out and adding touches of glitter to the house to give it a little shine, then adhering the house to the card using foam dimensionals. I added a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Joy to All stamp set and lastly, added some white string and blue rhinestones.

You can also view the card HERE.

I hope you get a chance to enter into some of the challenges that are running over there at present, they are so much fun.

Before I leave you tonight, I just wanted to say a very big thank you to Two Peas in a Bucket for being a wonderful company to deal with, to Jamie Sorenson, for all her hard work that she is putting into these events and for asking me to participate, also for her wonderful support and lastly to the wonderful Jen Gallacher for asking me to also to participate in another event, I thank you all, I have had a lot of fun.

Okay, so I am off to relax for the rest of the night, I hope you all get to do the same.

Christmas Gift!

Hi! So as promised I am back today to share a Christmas Present that I am currently making for the girls in our family. It something that everyone has seen before on other blog posts and I happen to make this last year for the girls and they loved it so much that I thought that I would create the same gift again, which is a card gift set. Cards that they are able to send to their friends or loved ones.

100_4936

Using some white card stock, I die cut the card stock through my Cuttlebug using the Papertrey Ink, Mat Stack die, next using the corresponding stamp that was in the Tiny Treats stamp set, I inked it up using some Aqua Mist ink and stamped over the die cut, setting these aside to dry. Still using the Cuttlebug, I took some yummy felt and cut the felt using the Beautiful Blooms 2 die and also die cutting some vintage text paper using one of the other dies from the same set, inking the edges of the vintage text paper using some distress ink, Vintage Photo. I sewed a blue button through the centre of the flowers to hold them together and adhered to the mat stacks. Taking more vintage text paper and the Fiskars, Scallop Sentiments border punch, I punched the vintage text paper, dusting it lightly with some distress ink, Vintage Photo. Next, taking Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart card stock I trimmed strips and adhered each one together, stamping a sentiment onto the strips and applying white gel pen also. Lastly, attaching each of the pieces to white cards.

Here are all the cards together.

100_4937

I plan on making the girls several different cards to go into their card sets for them to give to other people, over the next couple of weeks I will show you the cards that I will be making that will make up these sets, so stay tuned.

So I am off to stay cool today as it is going to be 36 degrees here today, I am not liking that it is this hot so quickly, I fear what Summer is going to bring us.

Have a great day everyone!

Watercolour Trees!

Hi Everyone! Yes I know, long time no see again, work the last couple of days has been incredibly busy and just too hard to craft when you are absolutely knackered..LOL.

Anyways, I am back to share another Christmas card for you to feast your eyes on. I decided to give Jennifer McGuire's watercolour technique using distress inks a go.

100_4943

Using the Hero Arts, Hanging Trees stamp set, I inked the stamp up using Versamark Ink and stamping it onto some watercolour paper, embossing it with black embossing powder. Next, using my craft sheet and some distress ink, Peeled Paint, I stamped the ink pad directly to the craft sheet and spritzing the ink with water, taking a paint brush and painting the trees, applying ink until I was happy with the end result. Once the trees were dry, I cut each of them out and set aside. Using some Basic Grey patterned paper I stamped the Hero Arts, Starry Sky that was inked with distress ink, Antique Linen to the paper, applying distress ink, Vintage Photo to the edges of the patterned paper. Taking white card stock, I tore along one side to form and edge that resembled snow, adding light touch of vintage photo to the torn edge, then adhering this to the patterned paper. Next, attaching the trees to the top of the white card stock using foam dimensionals, adding some gemstones to the trees for added interest. Lastly, I took a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Get Merry stamp set and adhering the paper to green card stock that was trimmed to form a card.

Here is another view of the card.

100_4945

Here are the products used to create this card.

Enjoy viewing the card, I promise that I will return tomorrow to share the start of the gift line that I am creating for the girls in our family for Christmas.

Have a great night everyone!

Christmas Tags!

Hi Everyone! It is Monday again, the weekend just goes too quickly these days, how was everyone else's weekend? For one I really hope that this week goes quickly also..LOL

Tonight I wish to share with you some tags that I have created for Christmas, using some of my favourite Hero Arts stamps.

100_4922

Using some Kraft card stock I cut some tags out, I also cut green, blue, pink and white card stock to form the base for the images to sit on. Using the Hero Arts stamps, Music Background, Magical Background and Friend Definition Background stamps, I inked each individual stamps with Colorbox Ink, Frost White and stamped over the Kraft tags to form background stamping. Next, adding each of the coloured card stocks to the tags and also the Hero Arts sentiments. Each individual tag, I wanted to create a visual appeal and one that could be used as a small gift to the recipient also. Stamping different Hero Arts images, Classic Holly, Magical Background, Flourish Background, Hanging Trees, and Holiday Sayings to form the focal point of each tag. Using other Hero Arts and Ranger products such as ink, gems, distress ink and glossy accents to complete the images, lastly, adhering each of the circles to the coloured card stocks and string through the tops of the tags to complete each one.

I hope that this gives you some ideas to start making some Christmas tags that can also be used as a small gift to your loved ones.

Before I leave you tonight, I wish to share some photos with you, the first one is a photo that my friend that came to visit took when I took here to the airport (as you can see, me without makeup and looking a little tired, but happy that I was able to spend that time with her too...LOL).

PA310026

Next, thought it was time to share some more photos of our boy Roly, the first one is of him feeling rather warm today and having to lay on the tiles to the entry of our bathroom, toilet and laundry..LOL, poor boy, not sure how he is going to cope when it does become really hot, LOL, probably like his Mumma, under the A/C..LOL.

100_4910

This one is him laying outside waiting for Darryl to get home from work, in the background you can see when he was a little puppy he took paint off my beautiful french doors, another thing to do around the house, there seems to be always something.

100_4915

The last few are of some flowers around my garden, the pink ones are of a really, really old rose that flowers only once a year and is so pretty, I have several of these around my garden and the other photo is of a native to Australia called a Bottlebrush(for ones that may not know).
