12 Trendy Days of Christmas: Bling

Hi Everyone! Had a very lazy day today, watching and listening to the torrential rain falling. However, I did manage to create a card for Kimberly's 12 Trendy Days of Christmas, today's theme was to use bling, glitter and anything sparkly.

So with that being said, I decided to break out my silhouette machine and create a snowflake, I cut this out using white card stock, then adhered glue over the snowflake and added prisma glitter over the top, setting this aside to dry. Next, using the PTI, Limitless Layer Die and some Basic Grey patterned paper which I ran through my Cuttlebug. I then took my Scorpal and scored the die cuts, punched a small hole in the centre of the die cuts and cut one score line, then folding each score line to form half circles, once this was done to both, I then adhered the 2 half circles together and then to a small punched circle to give more stability. I stamped a stamp from the PTI, 2010 Holiday Tags stamp set that was inked with some Hero Arts, Soft Leaf ink onto white card stock, then punching it out using a circle punch, adhering this to the top of the rosette that I created from the patterned paper. Once all the pieces were dry I adhered the rosette to the snowflake using Glossy Accents and set this aside to dry. I trimmed Kraft card stock to form a card and using the Hero Arts, Magical background stamp that was inked with Colorbox Ink, Frost White I stamped the entire front of the card. Taking the snowflake and adhering it to the front of the card, adding a sentiment to the bottom of the card that was stamped onto white card stock that was trimmed and attached to the card also. Lastly, I added some brown and white twine and some rhinestones for more added shine.

Here is a close up of the snowflake.
