Vintage Christmas!

Hi Everyone! I hope you have all enjoyed your day and that possibly you have had time to be a little crafty or at least relax. I have been busy with my Mum today, computer work and have now just left the craft room and thought it was time to blog again.

I have chosen a Purple Onion Designs card for you today and what a fitting way to share this because as of Friday, 26th November til the 10th of December, Purple Onion Designs will be having a Holiday Sale, 25% of all stamps including the new Christmas stamps and I have to tell you those new stamps along with the older ones are truly yummy, so pop over to the blog and check out all the details. I wanted a vintage feel to this Christmas card, so trimming some text paper, I inked the sides of the paper with distress ink, antique linen and vintage photo then made a stitching line around the edge, adhering this to a white card that was trimmed to size. Taking more white card stock I cut a die cut out and stamped over the top using the Early 1900's Music Background that was inked with distress ink, barn door, blending to soften using distress ink, antique linen. Next, taking red card stock I stamped a Vintage Snowflake that was inked with Colorbox Ink, frost white and punched it out using a circle punch, adding white gel pen stitching around the edge. I then adhered a Jenni Bowlin vintage button that had a bow of twine put through the holes in the button. I adhered the circle to the die cut using foam dimensionals and using more foam dimensionals onto the die cut that was adhered to the text paper. I cut a strip of red and white card stock, that was attached to the base of the card with a sentiment stamped onto this to finish the card.
