Vintage Christmas Tickets!

Hi Everyone! After much needed sleep and still needing a little bit more, I feel like I am getting back to my normal self again and not the scary person I turned into yesterday...LOL.

As I write this post, I am sitting by the french doors in our lounge room watching the rain fall and although it is lovely to see, we are currently in the middle of Harvest and now with the rain on top, this will down grade what was to be a bumper year on the farm. I suppose that is Mother Nature for you and we cannot control that.

Okay, sorry drifting, lets get down to the card that I created for Purple Onion Designs, what with another favourite stamp set of mine.

Taking white card stock and stamping the ticket design onto the card stock using distress ink, vintage photo, and then stamping the words inside that was inked with distress ink, fired brick, I also applied more vintage photo over the top of the ticket designs and trimmed each one out, setting these aside. Next, trimming Kraft card stock to form a card and taking the Late 1800's Script Background stamp that was inked with Colorbox Ink, Frost White I stamped over the entire front of the card adding a light dusting around the edges of the card to soften and set aside to dry. Taking more white card stock, I trimmed it to the size I was after and then stitched around the edge of the card stock using my sewing machine. I trimmed a red piece of card stock slightly bigger then the one that I had stitched around and adhered both of these pieces together. I took the tickets and adhered this to the stitched white card stock using foam dimensionals and then using more foam dimensionals I attached this to the front of the card. Lastly, adding red and white twine to the bottom of the card to finish.
