Today, I wish to share a card that I designed for Jay Gee's Nook, showcasing the use of inchies. At first I was kind of scared off with these little things and they were always being pushed to the back of my crafting stash. But after surfing the net last night I stumbled across a wonderful blog and it truly inspired me to get these blank little canvas things out and create something with them.

I took SEI, Wintersong patterned paper and cut six little squares out, applying distress ink, Vintage Photo to each of the squares. Next, adhering each of the patterned paper squares to the white inchies, sanding each one back to form a nice edge, once the glue had dried, I applied more vintage photo distress ink. I took stamps from Papertrey Ink, 2010 Holiday Tags and also Big bold Holiday Wishes, I added the postmark stamp directly to the inchies using black ink and also stamped sentiments onto white card stock, cutting parts of the sentiment out and adding more vintage photo distress ink. I adhered the inchies to a white card stock that was trimmed to form a card, then adhered each of the words and also adding some red rhinestones. Lastly, I added some twine to the base of the card to finish.
Here is a close up view of the card.

I hope that this gives you some inspiration to buy some inchies and create something beautiful.
Don't forget to pop of to Jay Gee's Nook blog and check out what Ange and Judith have been up to as well.
Have a nice rest of the weekend.
I look forward to bringing you some more projects through the week.
Hugs
