Thinking Inking

Hi Everyone! So I decided to keep going with the Christmas cards, seeing as like everyone, I have so many to create.  What better way to create one is to create one for the first class of the Thinking Inking.

To create the card, I took some water colour paper and the Hero Arts, Decorative Ornament and using my craft sheet, I used the technique that Jennifer McGuire used in the first class of Thinking Inking, by adding Ranger, Distress Ink, Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint ink onto the sheet, then taking the stamp I walked the stamp through the ink, making sure to cover the stamp.  Once inked up, I spritzed the stamp with some water and stamped directly onto the water colour paper, I repeated the same steps and stamped three times onto the paper.  When all three had been stamped and dry, I cut each of the ornaments out and added more ink to the edges using the same inks.  Next, taking the Basic Grey, Wassil paper I took the Hero Arts, Magical Background stamp that was inked with Ranger, Distress Ink, Antique Linen and stamped over the paper (another great technique that Jennifer used in one of the other cards created for the class) I added more ink to the edges along with some Ranger, Distress Ink, Vintage Photo.  I pierced three holes into the paper where I wished the ornaments to be placed and ran white string through and adhered them down to the paper, taking the ornaments next and adhering them over the string using foam dimensionals,  I added string bows to the tops of the ornaments, adhering each one with some Glossy Accents.  I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Sending Holiday Cheer stamp set and adhered the whole paper to a white card using more foam dimensionals.  Lastly, I added some rhinestones to finish the card.

Here are the products used to create the card:

I hope you enjoy viewing the card tonight and don't forget to check back in tomorrow for the DT card that I will have to share with you.

Hugs
