Rainy Day!

Hi Everyone! So today's card seems to be appropriate as it has been raining here all day. I created a card using another digital image, this one was also from The Greeting Farm called Rain Rain.

So I downloaded the image and resized it to the size that I was after, I printed it out onto some white card stock and coloured the image in using my Copics, once the image was coloured I cut her out and set her aside. I took more white card stock and ran it through my Cuttlebug, cutting a circle using the Spellbinders, Circles die. I then inked up the Hero Arts, Graph Background stamp with Hero Arts, Soft Pool ink and stamped over the top of the circle. Taking the coloured image I adhered her to the circle using some foam dimensionals. Next, taking some American Crafts patterned paper (which has been in my collection for I don't know how long..LOL) I cut it to size and sewed around the edges, I also took some Ranger, Distress Ink, Tumbled Glass and distressed the edges, I also decided to add some distress ink to the outer edges of the circle as well, I then added a sentiment at the bottom of the patterned paper using the Hero Arts, Sweet Wonderful You stamp set. I then took more white card stock and cut it to size and folded in half to form the card, lastly, I adhered the round circle with the image on it to the patterned paper using more foam dimensionals and then adhered the patterned paper to the front of the card.

Here is another view of the card:

I really enjoyed making this card tonight and I hope it inspires you out there to have a go at using some digital stamps.

So that is about all for tonight, but before I go I wanted to let you know to pop back here tomorrow and check out the big event that will be starting tomorrow, looking forward to bringing you a surprise :)

Have a great night!

Hugs

JOY

Hi Joy,

I have been enjoying your blog for a few weeks now. Thank you for all the inspiration.
I have been put off using digital downloads as the couple of times I have tried, I get an enormous image & don't know how to downsize it. Would it be possible for you to include some instructions on your blog, or at least to refer me to some info. Many thanks.
