Keeping In Touch!

Hi Everyone! So I wanted to share my card that was featured on the Social Club over at the Hero Arts Blog, the new competition for the month of August is called Keeping In Touch, Back to School and Stationary Sets. So us Hostesses got together and created cards for the theme Keeping In Touch and decided to use butterflies on our cards. Here is what I created:



Cut white card to form a card, cover the front of the card with patterned paper from the October Afternoon, Farm Fresh paper. Once covered, cut a small strip of patterned paper from the Cherry Hill paper pad and adhere to the base of card. Next, punch a cream circle and stamp the Artists Butterfly over the top and set aside. Still with the same Artists Butterfly stamp, stamp two times onto white card stock and colour in with Copics, making sure to colour one in completely and the other just the inner parts of the wings. Cut each of the coloured images out, adhere the fully coloured image to the one that was stamped onto the circle of card stock with some Glossy Accents. Next, adhere the inner parts of the wings that were coloured in to the main image using more Glossy Accents, then attach the circle to the card using foam dimensionals. Take a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Thank You Sayings set and stamp above the patterned paper at the bottom of the card. Lastly, add some rhinestones to match to finish the card.
