Big Event!

Hi Everyone! So I have big, exciting news, this weeks blog posts I will be doing something a little special. I will be sharing the week with Jennifer McGuire, we have decided to show case 6 cards together, using 6 different stamps. I am super, super excited about this event and I could not be more honoured to have this opportunity to do this.

I have been a great admirer of Jennifer, who inspires me every time she creates, she is a truly wonderful, kind hearted and generous person, one in which I am grateful is a part of my life.

I hope that we inspire others out there this week to create and have fun!

The first card I will be sharing with you today shows one of the techniques that Jennifer uses in some of her creations, which is emboss resist.

100_4469

I took the stamp Flowing Flowers and Leaves from Hero Arts and stamped it onto several pieces of white card stock using Versamark Ink, I then embossed with clear embossing powder. Once this was embossed I took Ranger, Distress Ink, Barn Door, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters and covered each piece of the white embossed card stock heavily with each of the inks. I took a 1 inch Fiskars circle punch and punched several circles out of each colour. Next, taking more white card stock, I cut it to size, folded in half to form a card and using the Score Pal I scored 3 lines down one side of the card. I adhered each of the punched out circles down the other side of the card using some foam dimensionals and with some left over white card stock I cut a tag and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Leaf Prints stamp set and adhered this to the card using more foam dimensionals. Lastly, I added some rhinestones either side of the sentiment to finish the card.

A card that is quite simple to make and even though a lot of white, the punch of colour makes the card quite eye catching, so don’t be afraid to use white, there is so much that you can do with it.

Okay, so make sure that you all go on over to Jennifer's Blog and check out what she has created with this wonderful stamp.

I look forward to the week ahead with Jennifer and with you my fellow bloggers and stampers.

Hugs to you all!

JOY
