Big Event! Day 3

Hi Everyone! So Jennifer and I are back again to share with you Day 3 of our challenge together this time using the wonderful set from Hero Arts, Cupcakes. I mean who doesn’t love a cupcake??

I wanted to create a card that had punches of colour and a creation that was fun to look at. So I started with pink card stock to form the card and on the front of the card I stamped the Hero Arts, Flourish background stamp that was inked with Hero Arts, Soft Pink, once this was stamped I set aside to dry. I took some white card stock and stamped a cutie of a cupcake twice and coloured it in with my Copics, adding a little white gel pen and also some Glossy Accents, I cut the image out and on the second coloured image I cut the flower out only and adhered it to the flower on the cupcake using foam dimensionals, then reached back for the card, whilst my white gel pen was still out, I added white dots to the front of the card for more added interest. I took more white card stock and cut a strip the length of the card, I also adhered some SEI, Happy Day patterned paper to the white strip and attached to the front of the card. I added a sentiment from the cupcake set and lastly added my cupcake using some foam dimensionals.

Here is another view of the card:

I wanted to create a card that was very simple yet as I said before fun to look at with all the colour.

Here are the products that I used to create this sweetie of a card

How pretty! I love how you went with bright, happy colors, rather than the traditional pastels for cupcakes. And your shading on that liner is positively perfect!

I LOVE this card! And, since I finally took the plunge and bought my first few Copic's, I'm going to sit down and make a few of these for my card stash! (It never hurts to have some extra, generic b'day cards around!) Thanks again for all the wonderful inspiration!!
