Big Event! Day 2

Hi Everyone! So it is day 2 of the challenge between Jennifer and myself and I have to say that this has started out to be a really fun experience, I felt like a kid last night at Christmas time waiting in anticipation for the big reveal of Jennifer’s card and WOW! what a card it was, that girl certainly knows how to create a masterpiece and one that draws you right in with all it’s delicate features, so if you still have not had the chance to check it out you can do so HERE.

I also wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their wonderful comments both on Jennifer’s blog and mine, I am so glad that this is inspiring you all and that you are enjoying what we are bringing to you, I hope that you will enjoy today’s blog post and again I will act like a kid and wait again to see what my wonderful friend has created.

So tonight we bring to you a card created using the Hero Arts, What’s Cooking Stamp set:

When I created my card I decided that it was time to delve in and start using my patterned paper that has been sitting and sitting in my collection and not being used so I took the Apron from this set and stamped it first onto some white card stock that was cut to size and then onto some patterned paper from October Afternoon ( I think that this companies paper truly has to be my favourite right now, just love it) I cut the apron out and adhered it to the apron that had been stamped onto white card stock using some foam dimensionals, I also stamped the pockets another piece of October Afternoon patterned paper and cut them out and adhered them onto the apron also. I took Copic Sketch Pens and coloured the hearts and the ties in on the apron to match. Next, taking the sentiment from the set I stamped it at the bottom of the white card stock and set aside. I took more October Afternoon patterned paper and cut a piece slightly larger then the white card stock and adhered each of these together using more foam dimensionals. To form the card, I cut some Kraft card stock to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Cling Dot background stamp I inked it up with some Colorbox Ink, Frost White and covered the entire front of the card, once this had dried I adhered the other card stock and patterned paper to the front of the card using foam dimensionals.

A great way to use up patterned paper that you have on hand and paper piece images, really fun!

So now I am off to check out Jennifer’s blog and see what wonderful and inspiring creation she has created today, why not follow me :)

I also thought that I would change the way I do blog posting, I have seen a number of blogs that show some if not all of the products that they use to create their project and I felt that this is such a wonderful idea that I thought it would be fun to start this on my blog, so here are some of the products that I used to create this card:

Another precious card! I really like that you're starting to include some of the product you use - makes it so much easier to use your posts as "enablers" >big wink!<

For example, I *really* think I need that polka dot stamp and the papers....
