Large Flower

Hi Everyone! How is your hump day going today, so pleased that after tonight at work, I have 2 days off. So today I have been busy creating in the craft room, trying to make another Mothers Day card for the Hero Arts April competition.

I started with white card stock for the card, I then stamped Hero Arts, Flourish Background with some Colorbox Ink, Muted Moods, Antique Pewter over the top of the card front and set aside. Then on another piece of white card stock I stamped the Hero Arts, Large Flower twice and coloured the flowers in with my Copics. I cut one flower out to be the base flower and with the other flower I cut segments of the flower and then re attached each segment with some foam dimensionals and then adhered it over the matching segment, adding dimension throughout the flower. Once all the segments of the flower were adhered I then placed a Basic Grey, Eskimo Kisses brad through the centre of the flower. I added foam dimensionals under the flower and adhered to the card front. At the base of the card I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set and lastly added some pink rhinestones under the sentiment to finish the card.

Here some other views of the card.

I hope you like today's card and that it gives you a little inspiration to go and create.

I will be back tomorrow with more and also hopefully something special for you to feast your eyes on.

Have a great day.

Hugs.

Such a beautiful card - any mum would love to receive it. I love the big brad in the middle and the way you've only used parts of the flower on top - very creative!

Joy, this is so beautiful! You and I must be thinking the same because I just posted a card with the same background on Flickr. You know what they say about great minds thinking alike....Your flower is such an amazing focal image on this card, that brad is the perfect embellishment. I love it!
