I decided to use a Bella chipboard butterfly that I have had for sometime and like last nights card never really knew how to use it on a card, but at last it came to me late last night, so I went back into my craft room after blogging the last card to you, to sketch a design of what I thought I wanted it to turn out. It did however turn out a little different to the sketch, but I am happy with the end result.
I started with some brown cardstock as the card base, then cut a small piece of white cardstock for the chipboard butterfly to sit on and two small pieces of aqua cardstock punched with the fiskars scalloped sentiment punch. I decided that the white piece of cardstock was too stark and inked up the Hero Arts old letter writing background stamp with Distress Ink, brushed corduroy, stamping it once onto some scrap paper to take some of the excess ink off, then proceeded to stamp onto the white cardstock. I felt that it gave the butterfly a more defining look. I attatched the butterfly to the inked white cardstock added two high of dimensionals from Stampin Up to the white cardstock, attatching the aqua cardstock to the edges then added one dimensionals high underneath these to give the difference in height, I then attatched this to the brown card.I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts everyday sayings in Colorbox, frost white, around two sides of the card and finished off the card by adding some white dots to the aqua pieces of cardstock.
As I mentioned before I was really happy with the card, lets face it who dosen't like butterflies, they are so pretty.
Hope you all have a great evening, hope to catch you all tomorrow.
JOY
