Happy Friday!

Hello

Friday night here, Darryl sitting in the chair and Roly laying on his back in a not so nice pose, both are snoring away and I have just created a couple of cards, now sitting here watching Escape to the Country, winding down for the night and thought I would pop in and share a card that I created today.

I went with a little tone on tone with Hero Arts layering papers, a touch of stamping and die cuts from Simon Says Stamp...

The most time consuming part of this card was the die cutting, once that was complete the card came together really quickly and with using the same colour all the way through the card, with just a touch of white, makes it even better that you don't really need to think about it.

I hope your Friday night is a good one, any major plans for this weekend?  For me, I return to work for the next 4 days, but would much prefer to be sitting in the craft room :)

Instagram Love!

Hi there

Wednesday and we jump straight into the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp, this week is all about camera's and alike..

I had a little fun re creating an Instagram look to my card, by using the same colours that are found on the Instagram logo, adapting it to my card, by a simple format of strips of colour card stock, cutting a circle feature and adding an Instagram camera to the centre...finishing off with a sentiment.

Simple, easy and quick, just what you need when you are in a rush...

I am hoping to jump on into the craft room tomorrow and start creating my huge range of cards that I need to create, it has been raining all day here and so needed as well, so am hoping that it continues tomorrow, love these types of days to create...

Before I sign out tonight, I wanted to share something that the Simon Says Family had shared on their blog just this past week...

A little while back you would remember that they did a card drive for a young girl Maddy and her family, well unfortunately Maddy has had a relapse and now is receiving treatment once again, you can read more about it HERE...

 
I thought it would be nice to share the news here to and see if a few of you would like to send some cards off to her and her family once again, I am sure that this would brighten Maddy's day and her families, if this is something you feel you would like to participate in you can send your card to this address below..

Quick Card and a Catch Up!

Hi peeps!

It seems I have not been around lately, well not here on the blog that is...I have been really busy getting some of my DT projects completed, so hence the little old blog has had a little neglect of late...

However, tonight I needed a really quick card created, so I went with bold images stamped onto kraft card stock, not only does it give a bold effect but when you have solid images like these to work with it is really easy to pull together a one layered card.

Now to non crafty news, we have been having a little trouble with our boy Roly of a night time wanting to escape, to be honest I think he is having either separation anxiety of a night or going senial one or the other, not sure, he has gotten to the point that he is breaking apart my trellis just to try and get out, to which I basically have none left...during the day time he seems to be quite fine on his own, so right now, he has been banished to being inside of night time, not that I think he is too concerned, the creature comforts of inside compared to outside he is loving, cheeky boy..

The other thing for me right now, is jumping back into some sort of fitness..this is just one way that may start to clear the traffic that I always have in my head LOL and as an added benefit who knows I may even drop a few kilos as well and that is always great for me, especially having a bad back as I do..so my dirt covered Wii and I began our friendship again today, and boy am I feeling it tonight LOL a definite indication that this body has not seen much exercise in sometime...

So there you have it, crafty and a little catch up on what is currently happening around here at the cottage of late..

Well time for me to go iron some clothes for work tomorrow and settle down for the night, I have been watching Scandal and loving it, please please please don't spoil the ending for me, I know a few peeps have been talking about it...

Happy Wednesday!

Hello everyone

I hope you have all had a wonderful day and that it has treated you with kindness...

We have received some much needed rain and it was so nice to lay in bed last night and listen to it hitting the tin roof, best feeling and something small that brings a smile to your face..

Today, crafty wise we start a new challenge over at Simon Says Stamp...

I had some fun with Metallic Distress Paints and I have to say that they are fabulous to work with, I think more of these fun crafty items will be finding their way into my shopping cart..

If you know me I love circles, butterflies and flowers on cards and so this is what has ended up on this card, using a little Romantique from Prima..

I have moved the older pattern paper pads in my craft room and of course sometimes I just completely forget to use them, so I decided for this challenge, it was the perfect time to use some up...something I need to do more often...
